A. Identify leg section of the table. B. Turn table so that leg section faces anesthesia. C. Remove X-ray tops.

After Placement A. Lower leg section all the way. B. Attach clamps, and ensure Finger Gauge is aligned with OR table rail. C. Tighten lower knob. D. Insert chair into clamps, and secure upper knob.

Following these steps will ensure the patient is in a comfortable seated position while reducing the chance of the patient sliding down the table, resulting in poor posture and spinal alignments.

Raise Leg Section 1 Transfer the patient using standard hospital practice. Place patient’s hips where the beach chair pad meets with the surgical table pad.
3 Raise the Leg Section of the surgical table to adjust the angle of the beach chair to approximately 60°.

2 P lace the patient in approximately 10° reverse trendelenburg.

Locking Latch 4 F lex table until there is approximately 20° of flexion in the patient’s knees. 5 Raise the leg section for the second time to position the patient in the “Beach Chair” (modified Fowler) position.
6 Remove the shoulder panel on the operative side by turning the locking latch in the direction of the arrow on the back of the chair and folding the panel away from the shoulder.
