5. At the beginning of the pumping procedure the mem brane must be filled with air. Fill the entire length of the tubing with fluid to remove any air bubbles. Membrane Sensor Chamber
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the air within the Sensor Chamber on the Pump Tubing Set.
6. After the air has been purged from the tubing, close the clamp at the patient end of the tubing. The Sensor Chamber must not be filled completely. Generally the top water level is at ⅓ Chamber height.
The rollers must stop turning, and interrupt the pumping procedure immediately. This is a safety check to ensure that the sensor system is working properly.
■■If the rollers do not stop, ensure clamp is firmly closed. ■■ If the rollers turn continuously, the connector fitting may not be functioning properly. → Replace the Pump Tubing. In case of continuing failure, please contact your sales representative and return the pump for investigation to Arthrex. To achieve the maximum patient safety, we would like to ask you to run this test prior to every use.
