Intended use The replacement screws for cross connectors are used in cases where the gold-colored original screws have come completely loose in a cross connector. Note For cross connectors and replacement screws, the S4 Spinal System - Lumbar/Deformity, TA011187 instructions for use basically apply. The following information supplements the respective information in the instructions for use.
Materials Titanium wrought alloy Ti6Al4V acc. to ASTM F 136 or ISO5832-3, resp.
Application Diminished clamping stability due to incorrect application of screws! The cross connectors hold three different types of screws. ► Only use screws in their intended positions according their color coding (see Fig.)
WARNING
If an original, gold-colored screw has come completely loose in a cross connector: ► Always replace the screw with the correct replacement screw according to its color-coding. ► Never re-insert the original screw in a cross connector. Further information on Aesculap implant systems is always available from Aesculap or the appropriate Aesculap office. Cross connector
