1.2 – APPLICATION FIELD This chair is intended for the reception and transfer of patients in the sitting position. Its technical characteristics also allow it to be used outdoors.
1.3 – PURPOSE OF THE USER'S MANUAL Health professionals, this user's manual has been written for you to provide you with all the information necessary and all the precautions to be observed when using the chair independently and in complete safety. The instructions relating to maintenance and surveillance of the product ensure its service life. Consequently it is essential that all personnel have access to, and are informed of, the handling procedures and the risks connected with the use of the transfer chair. It should be used by a person who is qualified and aware of the risks inherent in incorrect use.
1.4 – STORAGE This user's manual should be kept close to the product in a location dedicated to this effect. It should be kept protected from all elements or substances detrimental to its legibility.
1.5 – SYMBOLS AND STANDARDS USED Type B appliance Indicates that failure to respect recommendations may cause danger for the patient or the user, or damage the appliance. Complies with the essential requirements of Directive 93/42/EC covering medical equipment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
2.1 – BATTERY The battery should be charged for 5 hours on a mains supply socket before being put into use for the first time. To be sure to maintain an acceptable level of charge, we recommend plugging motorised chairs into a mains socket whenever one is available. Is not necessary to wait for the battery to be fully discharged. If the equipment is left out of use for a long period we recommend charging the battery every month. If the battery is stored for more than 50 days without being charged its performance may be affected, or even reduced irreversibly.
The light in the on/off switch indicates the battery condition
If the light is green, the wheel is charged. When the light is orange, the wheel is at half charge and we strongly recommend charging the battery. To charge the battery, connect the plug situated under the document holder into the mains. If the light is red it is essential to charge the battery. When the light flashes red the wheel is completely discharged and it is impossible to use it.
Once the battery is connected to the mains the light flashes. For a complete charge the wheel must be connected to the mains for 1 to 2 hours. When the wheel is charged the light switches to green. MU - I-MOVE –V5
If the light does not flash although the battery is connected, check the connection and the mains plug. Before using the chair make sure that it is not connected to the mains. A flashing light shows that the battery is connected Connection conditions to the mains, and electromagnetic compatibility: - Connection to the mains must comply with the following standards: NF C 15-100 and NF C 15211 (230 V supply socket). The circuit used should be protected by a 30mA (maximum) differential circuit breaker. - Work on the electrical parts must only be performed by qualified and authorised personnel. - Although the chair satisfies the requirements of the EN 60 601-1-2 standard, electromagnetic interference caused by the chair is not impossible. In this case we recommend inhibiting the chair functions and keeping it well clear of the appliances affected by the interference.
2.2 – MOTORISED DRIVE Motorised drive by an autonomous wheel facilitates movement of the chair. 1) Put the brake pedal in the top position to release the chair brake.
2) Activate the on/off switch and turn the rotating grip. Rotating grip for progressive acceleration

2.3 – BRAKING -
To release the chair, lift the red brake pedal with your foot. To immobilise the chair press the red brake pedal with your foot.
When the brake pedal is activated, make sure that the transfer chair is properly immobilised by trying to move it manually. Braking the transfer chair on a slope is not recommended.
2.4 – ARM RESTS To raise or lower the armrests, simply raise them or lover them manually.
2.5 – FOOTREST The opening at the front of the tray allows a foot to be inserted to advance or push back the footrest. -
To deploy the footrest, extended as far as the stop to lock it.
-
To retract the footrest, lift it and push it.
- When moving a patient make sure that the footrest is deployed. MU - I-MOVE –V5
- Do not step on the foot rest to sit in the transfer chair. - Do not stand up on the footrest.

Maximum safe working load of the drip stand: 10 kg. This value for information corresponds to safe use of the product, but it does not indicate normal use for which the load is much less. When moving the transfer chair fitted with the drip stand, make sure that the drip stand does not hit any obstacles (e.g.: doorways, lighting, etc.) or persons. Never use the drip stand or anti-theft bar to move the chair.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
3.1 – INTRODUCTION Regular and proper cleaning ensures the service life of the appliance (cf. cleaning programme drawn up at the time of entry into service of the appliance with the identities of the personnel responsible). Failure to perform cleaning operations may cause a risk of infection due to the presence of secretions and/or residues on the transfer chair. The cleaning advice below does not replace the internal protocol in your establishment.
3.2 – INTERVALS Cleaning should be performed: - for each patient, i.e. between 2 patients - after transporting an infected patient - completely every week

Staining products (e.g.: "blue" or eosin) should be cleaned off as quickly as possible to prevent penetration.
IV.
PRECAUTIONS
4.1 – PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING THIS APPLIANCE 4.1.1 Precautions when using the transfer chair
When moving a patient on a downhill slope (maximum 10°) the patient must be positioned with his/her back to the direction of movement. When moving a patient the footrest should be deployed and the 2 armrests lowered to prevent falling. When the chair is not in use it should be immobilised with its brakes. Check that the wheels are locked by trying to move it. Failure to follow this recommendation may result in a fall by a person trying to use the chair as a support. When transferring a patient (from a bed to the chair or from the chair to a bed) the chair should be positioned as close as possible to the bed to provide maximum safety for the patient. Adjust the bed height so that is the same as that of the transfer chair.
MU - I-MOVE –V5
Make sure that the brakes are active and that the footrest and armrests are retracted. All the actions relating to the precautions above are described in paragraph II – Instructions for use We do not recommend action without suitable training.
