TERMS OF GUARANTEE Subject to the conditions listed below Brandon Medical Company Ltd guarantee to provide for the repair of, or at its option replacement of Brandon Medical equipment, or any component thereof (other than consumables), found to be faulty or below standard, as a result of inferior workmanship or materials. This Guarantee will be passed to the purchaser through the Approved Brandon Medical Distributor where equipment is purchased outside of the United Kingdom.

The conditions of the Guarantee are: 1.
This Guarantee shall only apply to defects or faults that are notified to Brandon Medical Company Ltd or its Approved Distributor within 12 months of the delivery date.

This is a “Return to base” guarantee therefore cost of any carriage to and from the Dealer, Supplier or Brandon Medical Company Ltd approved Service Agent shall be borne by the Purchaser.
3.
This Guarantee covers equipment intended for use in hospitals and healthcare establishments only.
4.
It is a condition of Guarantee that the equipment is maintained as recommended in the Instruction Manuals provided.
5.
This Guarantee does not cover faults or defects caused by accident, misuse, fair wear and tear, neglect, tampering with the equipment, or any attempt at adjustment or repair other than by Brandon Medical approved Service Technicians.
6.

This Guarantee cannot be varied except by written notification by Brandon Medical Company Ltd authorised by a Company Director.

Under no circumstances whatsoever shall Brandon Medical Co. Ltd. be liable in respect of consequential loss.

The Guarantee is subject to the equipment in question having been paid for in full.
10. This Guarantee is offered as an additional benefit to the Purchaser’s statutory rights and does not affect these rights in any way.

General Instructions. The MT6008 examination lamp is a high quality product from Brandon Medical. Please read these instructions carefully before using the lamp. To guarantee the safe and reliable use of your Halux MT6008 examination lamp please ensure that you follow the points noted in paragraph 2.

Important Notes before Use. The distance between the lamp head and the patient should be at least 500 mm.

Cleaning. The lamp is not waterproof and should not be immersed. The lamp should be cleaned with a damp towel, which may be used with Ethyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol. Do not use abrasive products.

Malfunction and repair. Should your lamp fail to operate, ensure that the power switch is on, the mains cable is plugged in and that the socket is switched on. If the lamp still does not work check the bulb is secure or try replacing the bulb.

Precautions. This lamp fulfils the requirements of IEC598. The user must not make any changes or modifications to the lamp, except for the replacement of bulbs.

Keep inflammable objects away whilst the lamp is in use. Do not leave the light unattended whilst in use. Do not touch the protective lens. Immediately replace any damaged lens. Only replace the bulb with the correct Brandon Medical part.

Light Positioning To optimise the positioning, the light is supplied either with an arm with joints, a flexible arm or a combination of both. The ‘rigid’ arms have a friction adjustment at each joint. This is factory set to allow the lamp to be easily moved with one hand, yet still hold its position. This can be adjusted by means of an allen key at the base of the transformer case. The lamp head can be revolved 270º around its axis. On/Off Switch The lamp is provided with an ON/OFF switch on the Transformer Housing.

Bulb replacement Attention: Let the bulb cool before replacement! 8.1 Make sure that the mains power is disconnected. 8.2 Remove the screw [1] and front cover [2]. 8.3 Take a firm grip of the bulb [3] and pull it out of the bulb socket. 8.4 Carefully insert a new bulb 8.5 Replace the front cover [2] and replace the screw[1]
