500nm Cell Safety Light. This product is a special adaptation of a Galaxy Ultra HD-LED surgical light to reduce blue light toxicity in delicate cell tissue. Short wavelengths of visible light (visible violet and visible blue light) below 500 nanometers is known to damage delicate cells including embryonic cells, stem cells and human retinal cells. This product has been adapted to reduce this radiation to safe levels. A Cell Safety Light has the suffix F5. White light without the visible violet and blue appears yellow to the human eye. All other functions of the product described in this manual are standard.

Operating instructions
2.8
Emergency power system for EL models only The EL model lamp is fitted with an emergency battery backup system so that in the event of mains power failure the lamp will still operate. On receipt of the lamp the batteries will require charging for 24 hours to ensure they are fully charged. The lamp should ALWAYS be connected to the mains supply whether in use or not in use to maintain the battery charge. If this is not adhered to then the batteries will become damaged. Indicator
Description Under normal mains supply the green indicator will be illuminated.
If there is a fault with the charger or the batteries are not fully charged, then the red indicator will illuminate. Ensure the lamp is connected to the mains supply, ie the green indicator is on, and leave to charge for a minimum of 12 hours and up to a maximum of 24 hours. If the indicator is still illuminated there is a fault with the charging system and you must consult your local service agent or contact Brandon Medical. When the mains supply is disconnected then the red indicator will illuminate, showing the batteries are in use. The lamp will continue to operate until the batteries become discharged at which point the batteries will become disconnected and the lamp will not illuminate. The mains supply should be re-established before the lamp will reilluminate. The batteries will need to be fully recharged.
