110° tiltable tubes with manual inverter Invertertube™ 303797-9120 Invertertube™ for assistant's microscope 303797-9130
Caution: Note the safety instructions in the user manual of the microscope on which you want to mount the tiltable tubes! Intended use The tiltable tubes offer an inverter function and have been designed for ophthalmic use. Many wideangle observation systems for the posterior segment of the eye provide an inverted intermediate image which is viewed through the surgical microscope. The inverter is used to erect an inverted image. When activating the wide-angle observation system, you must also activate the inverters of the two tiltable tubes for the main surgeon (1) and the assistant (2). When swinging out the wide-angle observation system, you must also deactivate the inverters of the two tiltable tubes (1 and 2) again. With the inverter deactivated, the tiltable tubes have the same optical function as normal tiltable tubes. To ensure sterility, the controls can be equipped with sterilizable caps.

110° tiltable tube, f=170 mm with manual inverter 110° tiltable tube, f=170 mm with manual inverter for the assistant's microscope Caution: The two tiltable tubes must not be interchanged! This would produce a distorted image due to the pseudostereoscopic impression. See notes (3) on the front of the tubes! Tiltable tube (2) for the assistant's microscope is only suited for the assistant's microscope of OPMI® VISU 210, not for all coobservation systems!

Attaching the tubes and eyepieces Caution: The two tiltable tubes must not be interchanged! This would produce a distorted image due to the pseudostereoscopic impression. See notes (1) on the front of the tubes! •
Give securing screws (4 and 7) a few turns to loosen them.
•
Remove cover (3) and store it in a safe place.
•
Attach tiltable tube (Invertertube)(2) to the microscope body and firmly tighten securing screw (7).
•
You can install further accessories between the tiltable tube and the microscope body. Lock these units in position in the same way using securing screw (7).
•
Attach the tiltable tube for the assistant's microscope (Invertertube for assistant’s microscope) (5) to the assistant's microscope and firmly tighten securing screw (4).
•
Insert widefield eyepieces (6) into the mounts of the two tubes as far as they will go. The magnetic coupling reliably secures them in position. Caution:
•
Before every use and after re-equipping the instrument, make sure that the tiltable tubes (2 and 5) are securely locked in position. Make sure that securing screws (4) and (7) have been firmly tightened!
•
Make sure that Invertertube (2) for the main surgeon and Invertertube (5) for the assistant's microscope are securely locked in position, and that both inverters are activated and deactivated synchronously with the wide-angle observation system.
