CLEANSPACE POWERED RESPIRATOR:
Cleaning and Care
CLEANING We recommend cleaning the respirator AFTER EVERY USE. Clean the power unit and accessories separately. Disassemble the mask, neck pad and harness from the Power Unit before cleaning. SILICONE MASK, HARNESS and NECK PADS For these parts, use one of the methods below. After cleaning allow the mask to air dry and check the valve before use. DO NOT use high temperature devices such as hair dryers. Check the mask valves before use. Method 1 Use an alcohol-Free wipe to clean the surface of the mask
Method 2 Hand wash in warm soapy water and rinse
Method 3 Dish Washer with standard dishwasher detergent
THE POWER UNIT For the Power Unit, use a damp cloth to wipe out the surface and allow to dry. DO NOT submerge the power unit in water or washed in running water, or use harsh or abrasive cleaners. Air dry the power unit in a clean environment.
CARE EACH MONTH: We recommend INSPECTING the respiratory for damage, cracks or missing parts. Please check the mask exhalation valve. If tearing or distortion of the valve, the exhalation valves should be changed. EVERY 6 – 12 MONTHS: Harness and neck pads should be replaced depending on the level of use, every 6-12 months. The masks are made of silicone and resilient to aging and wear and tear. Close inspection of the mask should be conducted at least annually. The Respiratory Protection Standards recommend a fit test annually to confirm the correct fit of the mask.
