SCREEN MENU MAP The CereLink® ICP Monitoring System can stand on a table or be mounted to a pole with the IV pole clamp. Plug CereLink ICP Monitor into power source. ZEROING THE CERELINK ICP SENSOR
1.
Connect CereLink ICP Extension Cable to the yellow connector on the CereLink ICP Monitor (pull back to disconnect).
2. Connect CereLink ICP Sensor to the CereLink ICP Extension Cable. 3.
Press the Home tab, then Zero Sensor on the CereLink ICP Monitor.
4. Lay tip of the catheter flat in a shallow pool of sterile water/saline (do not submerge). Hold the sensor still. 5.
Press the “Ready to Zero” tab. When zeroing has been successful, date and time will display and the zero reference value is automatically stored.
6. Press Accept. CereLink ICP Sensor is ready for implantation.
SYNCHING TO BEDSIDE MONITOR
1.
Connect Interface Cable into the blue port. Once bedside monitor is recognized by the CereLink ICP Monitor, Patient Monitor Setup option will be available.
2. Select Patient Monitor Setup from Home and start calibration by selecting “0” button. A 0 mmHg reference signal will be sent to the bedside monitor. 3.
Zero the pressure input on bedside monitor. Wait until external patient monitor displays “0 mmHg”.
4. Press arrow button to continue synching. 5.
Press 0, 20, and 100 one at a time to confirm the correct calibration and scaling of bedside monitor.
UTILIZING THE SCREEN TOGGLE
Three interface screens: Waveform, Trend/Boxplot, Histogram For Trend/Boxplot, press the Screen Toggle button. Default view is the Mean ICP Trend. Pressure Time Dose (PTD) is also shown. PTD and Time above Threshold limits can be set by pressing Home, and then Analysis Setup. Enter value of desired threshold then press Accept. High and Low levels can be turned on/off with the switch on the left. For Boxplot view, press the word Boxplot. The same data will be shown in graphical representation. Press the Screen Toggle button for Histogram view, which shows distribution of Mean ICP values. Time above Threshold (T) is calculated.
DOWNLOADING DATA
1.
To mark an event, press the Data Marker icon and press Accept (User must record what the event was elsewhere – i.e. patient’s chart). Data markers can be seen on trend screen.
2. To download data, insert memory device into USB port on right side of the monitor. 3.
Press Home, then Data Download, and choose what you want to download, then press Accept.
4. When data is downloaded on memory device and transfer is complete, a confirmation screen will appear.
