VP1600 Quick Reference
HIGH DEFINITION Still Capture
SYSTEM – OVERVIEW FRONT PANEL 1. POWER BUTTON. Briefly press the POWER button to activate or to place the VP1600 in standby mode. NOTE: Prior to turning off the master power switch: • Briefly press the VP1600 POWER button. • Wait for the green power icon to turn amber. 2. POWER STATUS LIGHT Amber: System is in standby Flashing:

SYSTEM FEATURES • Menus appear on the right side of the display. • Instructions appear at the top of the menus. • Keyboard options appear at the bottom of menus. • Memory capacity is 40 patient studies. • Check memory status by pressing the SETUP key. • Periodically delete patient studies to ensure enough memory for future studies.
KEYBOARD OPERATION • The function keys open menus to operate the VP1600 (top row). • The ARROW, ENTER and EXIT keys are used to navigate the menus. • You must exit a menu prior to opening another menu. • The print and save keys are not active while the image capture is enabled (active patient study).
PRINTING TIPS • The printer may take 45 – 60 seconds to become active following a print command. • Printing may be stopped by disabling auto-print) or using the Cancel-Printing button (for manual printing) in the VP1600 setup menu. Cancel will take effect after all the copies of the current page number are printed. • The printer STOP button is not supported.

HOW TO CREATE A PATIENT STUDY 1. S TART – Create a Patient Study (Note: Only a last name is required to begin image capture.) a) Press START to display the start screen. b) Type the patient’s first name using the keyboard. Press ENTER or the DOWN ARROW to highlight the next field. Continue entering data as desired. c) Press EXIT to close the menu and enable image capture. 2. CAPTURE – Capture HD Still Images a) Press CAPTURE or press the assigned camera head button to capture a still image. b) The monitor will display a number indicating the total image count or a thumbnail image may appear at right. 3. DELETE – Delete Mistakenly Captured Images a) Quickly delete the last captured image by pressing DELETE. Press ENTER to confirm. b) Images may also be deleted from review screen: Press the REVIEW key. Highlight unwanted image with ARROW keys. Press DELETE. Then press ENTER to confirm. 4. REVIEW IMAGES – During Active Patient Study a) Press the yellow REVIEW key. The review menu will appear with image thumbnails. b) Press the blue UP/DOWN arrow keys to navigate between images c) Press ENTER to display a full screen view of the desired thumbnail. d) Press EXIT to return to review menu. e) Press EXIT again to return to live video. 5. END – End the Patient Study a) To end the study press the END key. The end case screen will display. b) Press ENTER to end the study or EXIT to resume image capture. c) Once the study is ended, patient data cannot be edited, but images can be deleted.
HOW TO PRINT AND SAVE IMAGES AUTOMATIC PRINTING AND SAVING To change settings that affect auto-printing, auto-save (USB), auto-send, and on screen image options, press the Setup Key. Manual Printing, saving to USB, and sending to DICOM may only be performed after the patient study is closed. PRINTing A PATIENT STUDY – No Active Patient Study a) P ress the REVIEW key. A list of all saved patient studies will display. b) Press the UP/DOWN keys to highlight the desired patient study. c) Press the PRINT key, verify print settings, and press ENTER. If different settings are desired, press EXIT, press the SETUP key and change the print settings. Then repeat steps a), b) and c). SAVing A PATIENT STUDY TO A USB DEVICE – No Active Patient Study a) Insert a USB memory device into the USB Port Connector. b) Press the REVIEW key. A list of all saved patient studies will display. c) Press the UP/DOWN keys to highlight a single patient study. Use the SELECT key to highlight multiple patient studies. d) Press the SAVE key, wait for “USB SAVE OK” verify, and press ENTER.
