October 11th, 2016 Dear Valued Customer, On August 20, 2007, Aspect Medical announced that the BIS™ A-2000 monitoring system (#186-0118) would be discontinued. In September of 2009, Aspect Medical was acquired by Covidien. As part of the product obsolescence process, Covidien has honored the commitment to provide service and support for the A-2000 Monitoring System for seven years following the discontinuation announcement. This letter serves as a reminder that we have now exceeded the end-of-service date. As of September 29, 2016, Medtronic will no longer provide maintenance service, repair or parts for the A-2000 Monitoring System, including the refurbishing of the DSC-XP Pre-Amp, (DSC-XP REFURBISHED), code 186-0157-RFB. As a valued BIS™ customer, Covidien would like to take this opportunity to advise you of some of the latest BIS™ technology available. This includes BIS™ VISTA complete two-channel and four-channel systems. BIS™ VISTA complete systems offer enhanced capabilities such as: • • •
