1. Installing the One Day Set ref. 284503

Close all 3 clamps and connect to fluid bags.
Slide green connector from tubing into sliding notch.

Place and centre tubing around roller pump.

Pull on tubing and close tension rocker arm against tube.
Put pressure chamber in holder. Screw transducer to connector clockwise.

WARNING: THE PRESSURE CHAMBER MUST REMAIN VERTICAL DURING THE PROCEDURE. Close left cover.
Green LED blinks. Press on RUN/STOP. LED stops blinking and stays on.
2. Opening the Patient Set ref. 284509
Press FILL CHAMBER pad several times until chamber is 1/3 full.

(C) Remove blue cap from intermediary tubing (D) and One Day SetTM tubing (C)...
...IMMEDIATELY connect One Day SetTM tubing (C) luer lock, to intermediary tubing (D) luer lock.
Pump must be in RUN mode, LED on. Prime One Day SetTM tubing by opening clamp under pressure chamber. When primed, close clamp or stop-cock on sheath (in sterile zone).

Scrub nurse passes waste extremity (X) of suction tube to non sterile person.

Insert waste end in a waste collection bag.

Insert right tube into right pinch valve slot.
Press on PINCH VALVE pad (LED will stop blinking).

Insert left tube into left pinch valve slot.

Close right cover.
Slide tubes behind tube holder under pinch valve.

Insert shaver tubing onto shaver suction port.
Connect red luer lock to sheath. Open the stop-cock.
Open clamp under chamber.
Sterile zone
Insert cannula tubing onto cannula.
4. End of operation Non sterile zone
Close all white clamps.

Press on blue CANNULA SUCTION foot pedal to empty joint (optional).
Turn pump off by pressing POWER pad.
The One Day SetTM should have been left in place at the end of the previous operation with the sterile buffer zone attached.

Check that the luer lock is tight and pass to circulating nurse.
Remove the old sterile buffer zone.
...and immediately connect the blue luerlock (D) of the new irrigation tubing to the blue luer-lock (C) of the One Day SetTM.
Never attach one buffer zone to another.

If bleeding occurs, activate lavage mode or increase pressure. *Settings will differ from surgeon to surgeon.
Basic troubleshooting Problems
Causes
Possible Solutions
The irrigation pump starts spinning aggressively
- No more irrigation fluid
- Check the clamp under the bags - If empty, replace saline bags
"Pres. L" flashing on LCD
- Pressure tube is not connected - Water has wet the blue filter - No more irrigation fluid - Right cover should be open when priming
- Connect luer to lock, press RUN - Discard line and replace with the new One Day SetTM Ref. 284503 - Replace bag and press RUN - Open suction cover when priming irrigation One Day SetTM Ref. 284503
Too much water in the pressure chamber
- Air leak in the line - Continuous air leak in the line
- Check the luer locks pressure sensing tubes are tight - Change the One Day SetTM Ref. 284503
The irrigation pump stops
- The high pressure safety has gone off - One of the covers is open
- Turn the power off, wait 5 seconds and restart - Close the covers
The pressure is fluctuating abnormally
- Water might have gone up into the pressure sensing line
- Change the One Day SetTM Ref. 284503
No irrigation
- The clamps under the bags are closed - The irrigation safety cover is open - The tube is not around the roller or on the transducer connector - The clamp under the chamber is closed - The RUN/STOP is blinking - The stop-cock on the sheath is closed
- Open clamp - Close cover - Thread & connect - Open clamp - Press RUN/STOP - Open stop-cock
No cannula outflow
- The cannula is obstructed, kinked, or improperly placed - The wrong tube is connected - The red clamp on the cannula is closed
- Check cannula - It should say OUTFLOW CANNULA - Open clamp
No shaver outflow
- The suction toggle is closed - The blade is clogged - The wrong suction tube is connected - The suction tubes are not in the pinch valve tube holder - The suction safety cover is open
- Open it - Clean blade - It should say SHAVER - Place tubes in the pinch valve holder - Close cover
