Warnings and Precautions 1.
Use only as prescribed by healthcare provider.
2.
Read the Operator’s Manual prior to using the device in order to ensure safe and effective operation of the VenaFlow Elite device.
3.
Do not walk with calf cuffs or foot cuffs on.
4.
If you experience pain, swelling, sensation changes or any unusual reactions while using this device, consult your healthcare provider immediately.
5.
Do not disassemble the device.
6.
Keep the VenaFlow Elite pump away from liquids and food.
7.
Do not use device while bathing.
8.
Do not allow access to children or animals.
9.
Use only in areas that have normal ventilation.
10. The VenaFlow Elite cuffs should be used by you only in order to maintain personal hygiene. 11. Cuffs used in combination with warming devices (i.e. electric blankets, heating pads) may cause skin irritation. Check your skin regularly. 12. If you are not capable of applying VenaFlow Elite system, assistance is needed. 13. If you currently have any chronic wounds or numbness in your legs or feet, make sure you discuss this with your healthcare provider. Check your skin regularly while using this device.

Device Set up 1. Plug in power cord to electrical outlet.
2. Connect tubing to the side of the pump as shown. Make sure the connectors “click” to lock securely.
3. Connect the other end of the tubing to each cuff. Make sure the connectors “click” to lock securely. Always connect both cuffs to prevent alarms or leaks.
4. Make sure the pump is still turned off before wrapping the cuffs to your leg.

Calf cuff application • Wrap the cuff around the calf and secure the Velcro to hold it in place. • Make sure tubing comes out the bottom, towards your foot. Wrap it on snugly, but not tight. • The aircell is usually in the back, but it can be put on any side that is most comfortable. • Never walk around with the cuff on.

Turning the device on • Press the green power button to turn on the device.

Using The Device Turn the device on 1. Don’t be startled. The device will make a “poof” sound and quickly squeeze your leg. This is normal. 2. The first thing that happens is the device detects the type of cuffs that are attached. This takes less than 1 minute and it is normal. 3. Place the VenaFlow Elite pump on a stable, flat surface. Do not cover with a blanket. 4. Handle can be used as a hanger. If preferred, hang from a secure surface within your reach.
Pump Alarms What to do if the Pump Alarms • Alarm is a Flashing Red light and a buzzer • Don’t worry, alarm is there to insure your pump is working and applied correctly.
LEG ALARM: • First press the power button (below the flashing red light) to silence the alarm sound. • Then make sure 2 leg symbols are showing on the screen and that both cuffs are connected to the device. • That should correct the current alarm.
CHECK TUBES ALARM: • First press the power button (below the flashing red light) to silence the alarm sound. • Check to see that all the connectors are clicked closed. • Then check the tubes and aircells for holes or kinks. • If damage is found or the alarm will not clear, call 800-862-2343 and request a replacement for the damaged item.
CALL FOR SERVICE ALARM: • Press the power button twice (once to silence the alarm and once to turn the pump off). • Once you are sure the pump is completely off, turn it on again to see if the same alarm occurs. • This may take up to 5 minutes. • If CALL FOR SERVICE does not go way, call 800-862-2343 to get a replacement.
