Functional design The bellow has a strap to facilitate easy disassembly and assembly. In addition, the loop allows the attachment of an internal identification mark.
Long lasting traceability The cap is lasered with a GS1 Data Matrix Code. This is a two-dimensional code in which the date of manufacture, lot number and revision are encrypted in a tamper-proof way. GS1 is a network of not-for-profit organizations that develop, negotiate and maintain standards for inter-company processes worldwide.
Made in Germany The Neonatal Test Lung is designed and manufactured in Germany. This enables us to keep the emissions low during the transport to our distribution warehouse.
Infection prevention & control The Neonatal Test Lung is a reusable product and it can be reused for multiple self tests of the device. In general, reusable products must be reprocessed according to the instruction for use before first use and after every use, in order to reduce the risk of infection. ‒ Follow the infection prevention policies and reprocessing regulations of the health-care facility and national authorities. ‒ Use a washer-disinfector that meets the requirements of the ISO 158832 standard. ‒ Use validated procedures for reprocessing and disassemble the test lung before reprocessing. ‒ Disassemble the test lung before reprocessing. ‒ Procedure: 1. Ensure components are securely placed within the washer-disinfector. 2. Attach the bellow to a suitable nozzle. 3. Ensure that all surfaces and interiors can be completely rinsed and the water can drain off freely. ²EN ISO 15883 is a standard for washer-disinfectors. It clarifies and describes the equipment requirements and the validation of the processes for reprocessing.
