General Safety Information The following WARNING and CAUTION statements apply to general operation of the medical device. WARNING and CAUTION statements specific to subsystems or particular features of the medical device appear in the respective sections of these Instructions for Use or in the Instructions for Use of another product being used with this device.
Strictly follow the Instructions for Use WARNING Any use of the medical device requires full understanding and strict observation of all sections of these Instructions for Use. The medical device is only to be used for the purpose specified under "Intended Use" on page 35. Strictly observe all WARNING and CAUTION statements throughout these Instructions for Use and all statements on medical device labels. Failure to observe these safety information statements constitutes a use of the medical device that is inconsistent with its intended use.

Maintenance WARNING The medical device must be inspected and serviced regularly by trained technical personnel. The medical device must also be put into operation by trained technical personnel. Dräger recommends that a service contract is obtained with DrägerService and that all repairs are performed by them. Dräger further recommends that only authentic Dräger repair parts are used for maintenance. If the above are not complied with, the correct functioning of the medical device may be compromised. See chapter "Maintenance".
Accessories WARNING Only the accessories indicated on the "List of accessories" on page 57 and accessories that have been approved by HAEBERLE have been tested and approved for use with the medical device. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that only these accessories are used in conjunction with the medical device. Otherwise, the correct functioning of the medical device may be compromised.

Connected devices* WARNING Risk of electric shock and of device malfunction Any connected devices or device combinations not complying with the requirements mentioned in these Instructions for Use may compromise the correct functioning of the medical device. Before operating any combination of devices, refer to and strictly comply with the Instructions for Use for all connected devices and device combinations.

Installing accessories

CAUTION Install accessories to the basic device in accordance with the Instructions for Use of the basic device. Make sure that there is a safe connection to the basic device system. Strictly observe Assembly Instructions and Instructions for Use.
Electrical connections to equipment not listed in these Instructions for Use or these Assembly Instructions must only be made when approved by each respective manufacturer.

Product-specific safety information
Incorrect positioning of equipment cart WARNING Risk of patient injury! If the device is moved over people or lifesupport systems, or is positioned over these, devices/equipment may fall down. Do not move the device above people or lifesupport systems or position it above these!
Identification of devices on the equipment cart CAUTION Surfaces of the device that are at risk of tilting over as a result of pushing, being leaned on, falling, etc. must have a permanent, legible warning label on this risk, e.g. using the warning sign ISO 7010-P017 safety sign 5.
Danger of equipment cart tilting over WARNING Danger of tilting! If the equipment cart is moved over sills, uneven areas or ramps too quickly, it can tilt over and devices/accessories can fall down. Reduce speed. Move the equipment cart at walking pace at most and hold devices/accessories firmly. Have a second person assist if necessary.
Total payload that can be placed on equipment cart CAUTION Equipment cart too heavily loaded. The equipment cart can be damaged if it is too heavily loaded. Do not exceed the total payload of the equipment cart, see "Total payload for equipment cart" on page 56.

Intended Use The Mova Cart equipment cart is designed to take medical devices and accessories and connect/dock to Dräger ceiling supply units in rooms used for medical purposes.
CAUTION Observe the Instructions for Use for the medical devices.

Assembly and preparation
Assembling/disassembling the Evita ventilator
Fixing the ventilator onto the function plate

Insert the ventilator with four plug-in catches into the slots of the function plate (A).
z The locking pin must click into place. 2
Check that the ventilator is firmly fixed to the equipment cart.
z Connect the ventilator in accordance with the Evita Instructions for Use.
Disassembling the ventilator 3
To remove the ventilator, press the unlock button (B) and lift off the ventilator.

Assembling/disassembling the Evita V500 or Evita VN500 ventilator
Fixing the basic ventilator unit onto the function plate

Check that the ventilator is firmly fixed to the equipment cart.
z Connect the ventilator in accordance with the Evita Instructions for Use.

Disassembling the basic ventilator unit z To remove the basic ventilator unit, loosen the fixing clamps (E) with an Allen key for SW 4 Allen bolts and remove the basic ventilator unit.

z To remove the mounting plate (A), press the unlock button (C) and lift off the mounting plate.

Operation
Moving and parking the Mova Cart/Mova Cart lift equipment cart WARNING Danger of tilting! If the equipment cart is moved over sills, uneven areas or ramps too quickly, it can tilt over and devices/accessories can fall down. Reduce speed. Move the equipment cart at walking pace at most and hold devices/accessories firmly. Have a second person assist if necessary.

Release both parking brakes (A) on the equipment cart castors.

Touch the sliding handles (B) with both hands and move the equipment cart to the desired position.

To safeguard against the equipment cart moving unintentionally, the parking brakes must be reapplied after the new position has been reached.
z Check that the equipment cart is standing securely.
CAUTION Risk of equipment damage or personal injury! Do not tilt the equipment cart more than 10°. The equipment cart may tip over if this is not adhered to.

Docking/undocking the Mova Cart lift equipment cart to/from the ceiling supply unit CAUTION Danger of damage to the equipment cart The Mova Cart equipment cart version for docking to the Dräger media column is not suitable for lifting. Only dock the Mova Cart equipment cart to the media column, see "Docking/undocking the Mova Cart Evita Docking equipment cart to/from the media column" on page 47. The following applications apply for all Mova Cart lift versions. The version with MediaDocking media interface is shown. z See also the Forta lift and Movita lift Instructions for Use.

Connecting the equipment cart

Raise the support flap (A) on the ceiling supply unit.

Lower the ceiling supply unit completely – hold down the down arrow key (B) until the lifting motor automatically switches off in the lower end position.

Hold down the up arrow key (D) on the remote control unit of the equipment cart until the equipment cart reaches the desired position.
z It will only lift if the equipment cart is correctly positioned in the device support.
WARNING Danger of personal injury and/or equipment damage! When lowering the equipment cart, objects that are in the way may damage equipment or people may be injured. Remove obstructions before lowering.
z The gas, energy and data connections between the equipment cart and ceiling supply unit are made: –

Hold down the down arrow key (A) on the remote control of the equipment cart until the ceiling supply unit stops in the lowest working position. –
Only applies to Mova Cart lift with MediaDocking media interface:
CAUTION After incorrect operation, if the equipment cart hits an obstacle while being lowered, damage to the device support may occur in extreme cases.
z The equipment cart is then 50 mm above the ground.
DrägerService should be notified in order to verify or restore flawless operating condition.
–
Depending on the extent of the damage, the device may fall down in a future incident.
Only applies to Mova Cart lift and Mova Cart lift Evita:
z The equipment cart comes down on the floor and the lift motor turns off. z If the equipment cart lowers itself onto an object before it has reached the floor: see "Problems when lowering" on page 46. 2
Problems when lowering
Disconnect gas, energy and data connections: –
Only applies to Mova Cart lift with MediaDocking media interface:
If the equipment cart accidentally hits an obstacle before reaching the floor, the ceiling supply unit stops before the device is forcibly disconnected. The control keypad on the media column of the ceiling supply unit indicates errors via the red LED. The control keypad on the ceiling supply unit and the remote control only permits raising in order to free the device of obstacles.
z The gas, energy and data connections are separated by holding down the down arrow key (A) once more; the ceiling supply unit moves into the lower end position. z The equipment cart comes down on the floor and the lift motor turns off. –
Only applies to Mova Cart lift and Mova Cart lift Evita:
z Manually disconnect the gas, energy and data connections from the equipment cart of the ceiling supply unit in accordance with the respective Instructions for Use. 3
Move the equipment cart away from the ceiling supply unit.

Raise the support flap (B).
z The ceiling supply unit can only be operated using its own keypad once the support flap has been opened again.

z The equipment cart can only be moved by one person together with the ceiling supply unit. z If the equipment cart does not automatically click in, pull the unlock button (A) and push it towards the media column again.

Pull the unlocking button (A) and pull the equipment cart away from the media column at the same time.
