Device Overview SW1.22 The Oxylog 3000 is a time-cycled, volume controlled and pressure-controlled emergency and transport ventilator for patients requiring mandatory or assisted ventilation with a tidal volume from 50 mL upwards. Intended operator: the device is intended for use by and under the supervision of trained healthcare professionals, e.g. doctors, nurses, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, and paramedics.

Oxylog 3000 Users Quick Reference Check For Readiness The device check should be performed: Before every use of the device if the ventilation hose was changed At least every six months If the device check is interrupted If a fault is detected. The relevant fault is indicated on the screen. Any operation of the device requires thorough knowledge of the instructions for use.

Required Equipment:
Oxylog 3000 with patient Hose Set Dräger 1.5 L test Lung with resistor (84 03 201) Oxylog connected to Oxygen gas supply Fully charged battery and or connected to manufactures power supply.
Ventilation Check 1.
Press the power button in the lower left hand corner The screen will illuminate and the self test screen will appear. A bar graph will start to move across the screen (Software version 1.n) Press the “Rotary Knob” once whilst the bar graph is moving across the screen 2. The screen will display a menu. The top selection of the menu is the “Device Check”. Highlighted by a surrounding box 3. Press the grey coloured “Rotary Knob” The screen enters the Device check area The “Supply Pressure” will be automatically tested Set and Confirm the hose set type being used and confirm An automatic test to detect the test lung is performed An automatic check to confirm the correct hose set is performed The screen will advance to the next level When requested 4. Set the different Tidal Volumes (50ml, 2000ml,500ml) when prompted 5. Set the different Respiratory Rates (2 ,60, 10) when prompted 6. Set the Pmax (20, 60, 30) when prompted 7. Set the FiO2 (40% and 100%) Each test will automatically advance when completed. If the setting is previously set they will advanced automatically The screen will automatically advance to the next screen 8. Confirm with “Rotary Knob” if the loudspeaker can be heard 9. Confirm with the “Rotary Knob” the LED’s are flashing 10. Confirm with the “Rotary Knob” if the Buzzer is present The remainder of the test is automatic. Once the test is complete the bar graph will have filled the cell and the message will indicate that the test was successful Turn the unit off or press the alarm reset to continue ventilating.

Invasive Ventilation Mode
VC-SIMV/PS Guide Required Equipment: This is a guide to initial setting which can be considered for use in ventilating an adult patient using the VC– SIMV/PS mode. The attending clinician must validate the appropriateness of using these setting and adapt to the patients requirements as deemed necessary. Any operation of the device requires thorough knowledge of the instructions for use.
Oxylog 3000 with patient Hose Set -Adult Reusable/ disposable Recently performed device check Oxylog connected to Oxygen gas supply Fully charged battery and or connected to manufactures power supply.

The Oxylog 3000 has been configured to default in VC-SIMV/PS Default setting for PEEP (5cmH2O), Pressure Support (10cmH2O), Trigger (3L/Min), I:E ratio (1:3) and Slope (standard) have been pre-set.
