ULTRASOUND IMAGING QUICK REFERENCE The EchoNous System is for non-invasive imaging of the human body and is intended for the following applications: Abdominal, Musculoskeletal, Pediatric, and Prostate. Users must have ultrasound training for these applications.

STARTING AN ULTRASOUND SCAN • Tap Ultrasound Imaging to begin an exam.

SELECTING PRESETS • Tap the Scan Preset Menu to change the Scan Preset.

STARTING A SCAN Stand on the patient’s right hand side. Place the Probe on the patient with the probe orientation marker on the patient’s right for transverse scans and towards the head for sagittal or coronal scans. Tap the Scan button to start (unfreeze) and stop (freeze) scans. Note: Patient details may be required before or after an exam.

GAIN AND DEPTH The ultrasound screen provides controls for changing gain (brightness) and depth. Tap the

to adjust the gain or depth.

SELECTING MEASUREMENTS Tap the Measurement icon to insert calipers or arrows on B-mode images:
• Calipers measure a straight line distance between two points.
• Move the caliper or arrow using the Circular handle to position each end of the caliper in the correct place.

ULTRASOUND MOVIES Tap the Movie icon to save the last eight seconds of the ultrasound scan as a movie clip. • Tap the movie icon on the image to show the movie controls.
