Correctly place the product into a suitable rack, connect all lumens to the rinsing connectors and start the automated cleaning. Instructions of the manufacturer of the washer disinfector must also be observed. Carefully follow the instructions provided by the disinfection solution manufacturer. For products with lumens, flush all lumens with a spray gun (water jet gun, with a static water pressure of 2 bar) with cold tap water.
Place the product in 0.5% solution of neodisher with deionized water at 15 min (10 min with 40°C. Make certain that all lumens are filled with cleaning solution (use ultrasound) a syringe if needed). Rinse all lumens by flushing with a spray gun (water jet gun, with a static 15 s water pressure of 2 bar) with cold deionized water5. Rinse the whole product under cold running deionized water. 10 s At room temperature (15-25°C), use an air pistol (compressed air, max. 3 bars) to fully dry the lumen and the whole product until no more residues of water are present (visible or detectable).
Then disinfect: ASP CIDEX® OPA solution must be used undiluted, within its useful and shelf life, and in compliance with the manufacturer’s warnings and instructions for use.
5 min
Immerse the product completely into CIDEX® OPA solution at minimum 20°C. Make certain that all lumens are filled with disinfectant solution (use a syringe if needed).
The ASP CIDEX® OPA disinfectant requires a total of three rinses : keep the product totally immersed, and use a large (each rinse) volume7 of fresh water. Do not reuse the water for rinsing or any other purpose. Residues of disinfectant may cause serious side effects.
1 min
And dry At room temperature (15-25°C), use an air pistol (compressed air, max. 3 bars) to fully dry the lumen and the whole product until no more residues of water are present (visible or detectable).
05 INSPECT If stains are still visible on the product after cleaning/disinfection, the entire cleaning/disinfection procedure must be repeated. Products with visible damage, chip/flake loss, corrosion or deformation must be disposed of (no further use is allowed). Check also the integrity of O-rings and gaskets and replace if damaged or deformed. Verify the product to be fully dry. In case of detection of residues of water, remove these using an air pistol (clean compressed air). Fully dry the lumen and the whole product until no more residues of water are present (visible or detectable).

FROM THE VALLEY For more than 35 years EMS has developed high-end technologies and protocols in conjunction with the world‘s most advanced clinicians, enabling the patients to enjoy natural teeth and implants for much longer. „Primum non nocere“ and minimal invasiveness are not only a must, they are our way of life.

ONLY USE ORIGINAL EMS PRODUCTS EMS powders are much less abrasive than traditional mechanical debridement techniques such as rubber cups and handscaling. We recommend to use AIRFLOW® and PERIOFLOW® first, followed by PIEZON®. GBT: the minimally invasive way for Professional Mechanical Plaque Removal (PMPR). As part of the GBT disclosing phase, coloration also minimizes AIRFLOW® abrasion. No more color signifies that all biofilm has been removed: the objective of AIRFLOW® is achieved, to preserve the integrity of dental tissues. EMS devices have been designed and tested for exclusive use with EMS prophylaxis powders.
ONLY USE EMS POWDERS So-called "EMS compatible" powders in the marketplace may cause damage to oral tissues and the device. See below a damaged Airflow nozzle after use with a "compatible" powder. If EMS products are damaged by using "compatible" powders the product Warranty will be lost. Damaged handpiece
ONLY USE THE SWISS ORIGINAL EMS INSTRUMENTS! The EMS Instrument, the Handpiece and the NO PAIN electronic module have to vibrate in harmony like in a trilogy. Using so-called “compatible” and copy tips from third parties can damage your patients’ teeth as well as EMS handpieces. They were developed and made for each other by EMS. One PS Instrument is designed for up to 500 treatments, thus reducing the cost of one treatment to only a few cents. Therefore, there is absolutely no reason to "save" money by using so-called "compatible" tips. Moreover, if the Piezon Handpiece gets damaged (the thread) it will lose its warranty so at the end of the day, “compatible” tips will always cost you more.
