Wash by hand using water and mild detergent and wipe with 70 % alcohol
Steam autoclave at maximum 134° C/273° F Liqiud chemical, glutaraldehyd 2 % CAUTION: See cleaning chapter in User’s Reference Manual or User’s Guide for further information about steam autoclaving at 134° C/273° F
Concerning the level and frequency of disinfection always follow the hospital routines.

Turn the ventilator to man. position. Open the APL valve to 1.5.
Open the locking handle.
Remove bellows chamber and bellows. Lift the bellows block.
Turn the retaining ring counterclockvise and remove it.
Remove the absorber canister. Remove the water container.
Remove the valve covers.
Soak and clean the compact block in cleaning agent for at least 3 minutes, while pressing down the piston valve.
Flush with fresh running water for 1 minute, while pressing down the piston valve. Flush into all openings.
After cleaning
5 Remove the valve.

Flush the bellows block with fresh running water. Flush into the correct connector, see picture.
Soak and clean the bellows block in cleaning agent for at least 3 minutes.
Flush the bellows block again with fresh running water for 1 minute.
Dry the compact block in a warming closet or in room temperature.
Lift the green membranes and press down the valve housings if needed.
Visually check that the O-rings on the valve covers are undamaged.
Attach the water container.
After cleaning Turn the bellows block and shake to remove any remaining water. Dry the bellows block in a warming closet or in room temperature. For instructions on how to assemble the bellows block, see the User’s Reference Manual.

Attach the transparent valve covers.

Clean in washer-disinfector with a decontaminating program (min. 10 minuter at 85° C/185° F )

Turn the compact block with cleaning cassette upside down.
Connect the hytrel tube to the water source in a washer- disinfector.
Open the APL valve to 1.5.
Lift the bellows block.
Remove the water container.
Connect the hytrel and exp. labeled tubes.
After cleaning

Remove the valve.
Refit the retaining ring.
Turn the block upside down and connect a hytrel tube.
Connect the hytrel tube to the water source in a washer- disinfector.
Remove the valve covers after cleaning.
Lift the green membranes and press down the valve housings if needed.
Visually check that the O-rings on the valve covers are undamaged.
Attach the water container.
