Chapter 1 Introduction

This chapter consists of information concerning indications for use/contraindications, contact information, and how this documentation is organized. The Vivid E80 / E90 / E95 ultrasound unit is a high performance digital ultrasound imaging system with total data management. The system provides image generation in 4D (Vivid E95 and Vivid E90 with 4D option only), 2D (B) Mode, Color Doppler, Power Doppler (Angio), M-Mode, Color M-Mode, PW and CW Doppler spectral, Tissue Velocity imaging, advanced Strain and Contrast applications. The fully digital architecture of the Vivid E80 / E90 / E95 unit allows optimal usage of all scanning modes and probe types, throughout the full spectrum of operating frequencies.
