SAFETY PRECAUTIONS 1.
The KH 336 has been designed and manufactured with safety and function for both the patient and the carer as the utmost importance. The recommended max load rating for the couch is 130Kg.

Users must read and follow the manual to ensure all safety precautions are not compromised.

The couch should always be on a level even surface before any patient be lifted/raised, with the total lock castors engaged.

For safety precautions when side transferring a patient on/off the couch the operator must have: (i) The brakes on the castors. (ii) The top in the level position

Never have any loose objects in the vicinity of the couch when using any of the functions, as these may snag with the moving components of the couch. Always check the surrounding area and under the couch for any objects that may be crushed with any movement of the couch.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To ensure that all the safety features of the product are not compromised please read the following instructions carefully. 1.1
ELECTRICALLY OPERATED HI/LOW FUNCTION. The couch can be lowered/raised to any position required (Min 500mm - Max 900mm). This function is via the Foot or Hand Switch (Fig 1.) Fig 1

ELECTRICALLY OPERATED TILT FUNCTION. The couch can be raise to a vertical position and any position in between via the Foot or Hand switch. (Fig 2.)

TOTAL LOCK CASTOR. The Total Lock can be engaged by depressing the foot pedal on top of each castor. This is mainly used when the couch is in a stationary position or during side transferring of patients. (Fig 3.)

FOOTPLATE. The footplate can be adjusted via the spring button on the side. To adjust the footplate, simply pull the spring button out and rotate the footplate until the required angle, releasing the pin to engage into one of the holes provided. (Fig 5.)

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS LUBRICATION There are several parts on the KH 336 Hi/low tilt couch, which requires periodical lubrication. These are Crank assembly, Tilt pivot points, Footrest. These parts need lubrication every 2 months. Simply spray TAC-2 up into the joints while operating the function. Extreme caution needs to be maintained when operating these functions while lubrication is being done, and should only be done by a competent maintenance person. Caution:- Remove all excess over spray as this may damage the epoxy coating and could cause a hazardous situation if excess be allowed to drip onto the floors .

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS 1. The KH336 Couch can be cleaned with a low strength detergent, warm water and a soft textured cloth. This includes all epoxy powder coated framework and the Vinyl top. 2. VINYL TOP Protect from direct sunlight. Do not puncture with any sharp objects. Repair any tears immediately. 3. SPOT CLEANING Treat spills and stains as soon as possible. Gently scrape away any soils or mop away liquid from surface of fabric with damp cloth. Use water or other cleaning liquid sparingly. Do not allow water or liquid to spill onto the electrical system.

WARRANTY & SERVICE CONTRACT WARRANTY The KH336 is covered under the standard Kerry Equipment 2 Year warranty policy. This covers all parts and labour but excludes freight to and from Kerry Equipment’s premises.
