Netzteil am Monitor anschließen Den Stecker des Netzteils an die Anschlussbuchse|E anschließen. Warnung: Der KARL|STORZ (TFT) TouchScreen Monitor 20 0903 31 darf nur in Verbindung mit dem mitgelieferten Netzteil 20 0904 82 (MEDICAL POWER SUPPLY) betrieben werden. Das Netzkabel in die Anschlussbuchse des Netzteils einstecken.

Connecting the power supply to the monitor Connect the power supply connector to the connection socket E. VGA-Monitorkabel (D-Sub 15 pin) anbringen Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Rechner und der TouchScreen Monitor (ggf. Ein-/Ausschalter Q betätigen) ausgeschaltet sind. VGA-Kabel an VGA-Buchse R am Monitor anbringen und durch Drehen der Schrauben am Stecker im Uhrzeigersinn sichern. Das andere Ende des Kabels in die Monitoranschlussbuchse des Rechners stecken.

Connecting VTGA monitor cable (D-Sub 15 pin) Make sure that your computer and the touch screen monitor (if necessary, press power switch|Q) are switched off. Connect the VGA cable to the VGA socket R on|the monitor and lock by turning the screws on|the connector in a clockwise direction. Plug the other end of the cable into the monitor socket on the computer.

Connecting DVI-D cable (optional) Plug the DVI-D cable into socket T on the monitor and lock the cable by turning the screws on the connector in a clockwise direction. Connect the other end of the cable to the corresponding DVI-D port on the computer (if available on the computer).

RS-232 Kabel anbringen (für Touch-Screenfunktionalität) Das 9-polige RS-232-Kabel in Anschlussbuchse Y am Monitor einstecken und durch Drehen der Schrauben am Stecker im Uhrzeigersinn sichern. Das andere Ende des Kabels in die serielle Schnittstelle COM1 am Rechner einstecken. Hinweis: Bitte hierzu auch die SCB-Gebrauchsanweisung beachten. Hinweis: Bei Ihrem SCB-System ist der entsprechende Treiber bereits installiert. Für das AIDA/ AIDA compact-System siehe Abschnitt ,Elo TouchScreen Treiber installieren‘ auf Seite 22.

Connecting RS-232 cable (for touch screen functions) Plug the 9-pin RS-232 cable into socket Y on the monitor and lock by turning the screws on the connector in a clockwise direction. Plug the other end of the cable into the serial port COM1 on the computer. Note: Please observe the SCB Instruction manual as well. Note: The corresponding driver is already installed in your SCB system. For the AIDA/AIDA compact system see the section ‘Installing the Elo touch screen driver’ on page 22.

Schutzabdeckung Anschlussbuchsen Die Kabel sollen nach dem korrekten Anschluss der Steckverbindungen nach oben aus dem Gehäuse herausgeführt werden. Zum Schutz der Steckverbindungen die Schutzabdeckung U in die Laschen am Monitorgehäuse einhängen und zuklappen. Die Kabel werden dabei durch die Öffnung oben an der Schutzklappe herausgeführt.

Protective Connector Caps Once the cables have been properly connected, route the cables up from the housing. To protect the cable connectors, the protective cap U should be placed on the clips on the monitor housing and then snapped shut. The cables are routed out of the opening above the protective cap.

Tapa protectora conectores Tras la correcta conexión de los cables, éstos deben hacerse salir de la carcasa por la parte superior. Para la protección de las conexiones, enganchar la tapa protectora U en las lengüetas de la carcasa del monitor y cerrar de golpe. Los cables se harán salir a través de la abertura situada en la parte superior de la tapa.

Der Drehknopf

The Wheel Knob

El botón giratorio

Der Drehknopf ist ein benutzerfreundliches Multifunktionsinstrument. Er befindet sich hinter der Indikator LED Anzeige, auf der rechten unteren Seite des Displays. Der Drehknopf hat 3 Bewegungsmöglichkeiten: • Drehung vorwärts: Hoch-/Rechtsbewegen - Erhöhen • Drehung rückwärts: Herunter-/Linksbewegen - Verringern • Eindrücken: Bestätigen - Aktivieren - Speichern - Kurzes Drücken = Display schaltet ein - Kurzes Drücken = Display schaltet aus - Doppeldrücken = aktiviert das OSD Menü (siehe S. 17) Das OSD Menü verschwindet nach 3 Sek., wenn keine Eingaben gemacht werden.

The wheel knob is a multi-functional device located behind the LED Indicator on the right side of the front bezel.

El botón giratorio es un instrumento multifuncional de fácil manejo. Se encuentra detrás del indicador LED, en la parte inferior derecha de la pantalla. El botón giratorio dispone de 3 posibiidades de movimiento: • Rotación hacia delante: Movimiento arriba/derecha - Aumentar • Rotación hacia atrás: Movimiento abajo/izquierda - Disminuir • Presión del botón: ConƂrmar - Activar - Grabar - Presión corta = Conexión de la pantalla - Presión corta = Desconexión de la pantalla - Doble presión = Activa el menú OSD (véase pág. 17) El menú OSD desaparece tras 3 seg. si no se realiza ninguna acción.

Turn On and OFF Press the wheel knob in order to turn ON the display if the LED indicator is off. In order to turn the display OFF, press the OSD wheel knob again.

LED-Anzeige Die LED Anzeige leuchtet grün, wenn der Bildschirm in Betrieb genommen wurde und das Netzkabel richtig angebracht ist. Die LED Anzeige leuchtet orange, sobald der Bildschirm in den Energiesparmodus überwechselt. Befindet sich der Flachbildschirm im Energiesparmodus oder wird von ihm kein korrektes Eingangssignal erkannt, ist der Bildschirm schwarz und die LED leuchtet orange. Hinweis: Erst nach der Trennung des Netzteils vom Stromnetz stellt sich keine Leistungsaufnahme mehr ein.

LED Display This LED indicator turns green when the power is switched ON and the power cord is properly attached. It turns amber when the monitor goes into a power saving mode.

Indicador LED El indicador LED se enciende de color verde, cuando el monitor se ha puesto en servicio y el cable de la red ha sido conectado correctamente. El indicador LED se enciende de color naranja, tan pronto como el monitor cambie al modo de ahorro de energía. Si el monitor se encuentra en modo de ahorro de energía o no se reconoce ninguna señal correcta de entrada, el monitor está negro y el indicador LED se enciende de color naranja. Nota: Solamente tras la separación del transformador de red de la red eléctrica no existe ningún consumo de energía.

The wheel knob has three movements: • Rotate Upward: Move Up/Right - Increase • Rotate Downward : Move Downward/Left - Decrease • Button Press: Execute - Do - Save - Press shortly = Display switches on - Press shortly = Display switches off - Press twice = Activates OSD menu (see page 17) The OSD menu will disappear after 3 seconds if|no entries are made.

If the flat screen is in power-saving mode or if there is no proper input signal, the screen is black and the LED lights up amber. Note: The power is off only when the mains adaptor is disconnected from the mains supply.

PreVu™ On-Screen Display Der Bildschirm ist mit einem PreVu™ On-Screen Display (OSD) Menü ausgestattet. Dieses beinhaltet selbsterklärende Icons, um die Einstellungen benutzerfreundlich vorzunehmen. Wenn ein Icon angewählt ist, zeigt es als grafisches Symbol die Bedienfunktion und erklärt in einer Kurzbeschreibung die Funktion, um dem Benutzer zu assistieren.

PreVu™ On-Screen Display The LCD monitor features a PreVu™ On-Screen Display (OSD) menu with easily identifiable icons designed to make adjusting your monitor display settings a more user-friendly process. When highlighted, the icon illustrates the control function and provides a brief instruction to assist the user in identifying which control needs adjustment.

PreVu™ On-Screen Display El monitor está provisto con un menú PreVu™ On-Screen Display (OSD). Este menú contiene iconos autoexplicativos, para realizar los ajustes de manera sencilla y práctica. Cuando se selecciona un icono, se muestra la función de manejo como un símbolo gráfico y se aclara dicha función mediante una corta descripción, para asistir al usuario.

OSD-Bedienung Während der Monitor eingeschaltet ist (LED-Anzeige leuchtet grün), können Sie durch Doppel-Drücken des Drehknopfes das OSD-Menü aufrufen. Während das OSD-Menü aktiv ist, können Sie mit den drei Bewegungsmöglichkeiten des Drehknopfes navigieren, um Einstellungen am Monitor vorzunehmen • Drehung vorwärts: Hoch-/Rechtsbewegen – Erhöhen • Drehung rückwärts: Herunter-/Linksbewegen – Verringern • Eindrücken: Bestätigen – Aktivieren – Speichern Abhängig von der gewählten Funktion im Hauptmenü, erscheint das zugehörige Untermenü. Der aktive Menüpunkt wird grau hinterlegt dargestellt. Drehen Sie den Drehknopf, um die Einstellungen vorzunehmen. Die Einstellungen werden automatisch gespeichert, wenn Sie das OSD-Menü verlassen. Falls Sie den Drehknopf für ca. 20|Sekunden nicht betätigen, speichert das OSD-Menü die neuen Werte und beendet die Einstellphase. Hinweis: Nach Veränderung der Einstellungen im OSD-Menü sollte der Monitor neu kalibriert werden (siehe Seite 26/27).

OSD usage While the monitor is turned ON (LED indicator is green), pressing the Control Dial (OSD rotary knob) activates the OSD. While the OSD menu is active, use the three way movements of the control dial to adjust the settings.

OSD-Manejo Mientras se encuentre el monitor en funcionamiento (indicador LED encendido de color verde), puede llamar al menú OSD mediante doble presión del botón giratorio. The active menu item is displayed against a gray background. Turn the wheel knob to make a setting. The settings are automatically saved when you exit the OSD menu. If the wheel knob is not actuated for approx. 20 seconds, the OSD menu saves the new values and ends the setting phase. Note: After changing the settings in the OSD menu, the monitor should be recalibrated (see page 26/27).

Phase The image can be corrected with the Phase function. The phase and thus the clarity of the image can be set here. Normally, this is regulated by the Auto-Setup, which means that no further settings are necessary. Nevertheless, adjustments in small increments are possible here.

Wird ein Touch-Screen Monitor über das Interface zwischen dem SCB System und dem AIDA System hin- und hergeschaltet, so muss der TouchScreen auf beiden Systemen kalibriert werden (siehe S.|26 und 27). Starten Sie dazu das AIDA System (SCB abgeschaltet) und kalibrieren Sie den Touch-Screen. Danach fahren Sie das AIDA System herunter, schalten es aus und starten das SCB System. Nachdem Sie dort den Touch-Screen kalibriert haben, können Sie beide Systeme parallel betreiben.

If a touch screen monitor is switched back and forth between the SCB system and the AIDA system via the AIDA Interface, the touch screen must be calibrated on both systems (see pages 26 and 27). To do this, start the AIDA system (SCB switched off) and calibrate the touch screen. Then shut down the AIDA system, switch it off and start the SCB system. After you have calibrated the touch screen on the SCB system, the two systems can be operated in parallel.

Öffnen Sie das Menü Monitoreinstellungen über Start/Einstellungen/Systemsteuerung/Elo Touchscreen. Das Fenster Elo Touchscreen Properties öffnet sich. Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Align. Das Fenster zum Kalibrieren des Monitors öffnet sich. Reboot your computer. Open the monitor settings menu via Start/Settings/Control Panel/Elo Touch screen. The window Elo Touch screen Properties opens.

Sicherheits-Stop KARL STORZ verwendet für das SCB-System einen qualitativ sehr hochwertigen Touch-Screen Monitor. Trotzdem kann ein mögliches ,Verkleben‘ (,Hängenbleiben‘) der Touch-Screen Folien oder der Auswerteelektronik nicht zu 100% verhindert werden. Ein solcher Fehler kann z. B. dazu führen, dass trotz Loslassen einer Funktionstaste die Bewegung des OP-Tisches dennoch fortgesetzt wird. In einem solchen Fall kann die Bewegung des OP-Tisches durch Ausschalten des SCB Touch-Screen Monitors sicher gestoppt werden. Hinweis: Der Ein-/Aus-Schalter des SCB TouchScreen Monitors ist kein NOT-Aus im herkömmlichen Sinne. Er kann nur dazu verwendet werden, um ein ,Verkleben‘ (,Hängenbleiben‘) einer Funktionstaste oder einen Fehler der Auswerteelektronik des SCB Touch-Screen Monitors sicher zu erkennen.

Safety-Stop KARL STORZ uses a very high-quality touch screen monitor for the SCB system. Nevertheless, it is not possible to prevent possible ‘sticking’ of the touch screen buttons or the evaluation electronics with 100% certainty. Such an error may, for example, result in the operating table continuing to move even though the control button has been released. In this case, the movement of the operating table can be reliably stopped by switching off the SCB touch screen monitor.

Warning: Always disconnect the power cord before cleaning the touch screen monitor. Always exit the R-UI32 and switch off the SCB computer before cleaning the touch screen.

Cuidado: Antes de efectuar la limpieza del monitor de pantalla táctil, desenchúfelo de la red. Para limpiar la pantalla táctil tiene que finalizarse la R-UI32 y desconectarse el ordenador SCB.

• Befeuchten Sie ein Einmaltuch mit einer milden Reinigungslösung (bei überschüssiger Flüssigkeit wringen Sie es gut aus). Dann den Bildschirm damit leicht abreiben. Sprühen Sie Flüssigreiniger oder Reinigungssprays nicht direkt auf das Gerät. • Vermeiden Sie starken Druck auf den LCDMonitor, um einem bleibenden Schaden am Display vorzubeugen. • Setzen Sie den LCD-Monitor nicht direkt Regen, Wasser, Feuchtigkeit oder Sonnenlicht aus.

• Wet a disposable cloth with a mild cleaning solution (wring out excess well) before wiping the screen. Do not spray liquid or aerosol cleaners directly onto the device. • Avoid applying heavy pressure to the LCD monitor to prevent permanent damage to the display. • Do not expose the LCD monitor directly to rain, water, moisture or sunlight.

Wischdesinfektion Das Gerät kann zur Wischdesinfektion mit alkoholfreien Desinfektionstüchern, z.B. CLEANISEPT® WIPES von Dr. Schumacher, abgewischt werden. Es dürfen keine alkoholischen Konzentrate zur Wischdesinfektion verwendet werden. Flächen und Gegenstände bis zur völligen Benetzung abwischen. Nach Ablauf der Einwirkzeit ggf. mit einem Einmaltuch nachwischen.

Wipe-down disinfection The unit is suitable for wipe-down disinfection, with alcohol-free cloths, e.g., CLEANISEPT® WIPES from Dr.|Schumacher GmbH. Do not use solutions predominantly containing alcohol for wipe-down disinfection. Surfaces and objects should be wiped until fully coated. Leave for the specified exposure time and then wipe with a disposable cloth if necessary.

Desinfección con un paño El aparato se puede desinfectar frotándolo con un paño para desinfección sin alcohol, p. ej., CLEANISEPT® WIPES del Dr.|Schumacher. Para la desinfección por frotado no debe utilizarse ningún producto con alcohol concentrado. Frote las superficies y los objetos hasta humedecerlos por completo. Si es necesario, después de transcurrido el tiempo de aplicación repase con un paño desechable.

Das Verfügen über technische Unterlagen zum Gerät stellt auch für technisch geschultes Personal keine Autorisierung durch den Hersteller zum Öffnen oder Reparieren des Gerätes dar. Ausgenommen sind im Text der vorliegenden Gebrauchsanweisung beschriebene Eingriffe.

Um den KARL STORZ Touch-Screen Monitor Modell 20 0903 31 am höhen- und seitenverstellbaren Arm Modell 29003NN bzw. 29003NNL befestigen zu können, muss die Adapterplatte des Haltearms ausgetauscht werden.

In order to secure the KARL STORZ touch screen monitor, model 20 0903 31, to the height and laterally adjustable arm, model 29003NN or 29003NNL, the adaptor plate of the holding arm must be replaced.

Con el fin de poder fijar el monitor de pantalla táctil KARL STORZ, modelo 20 0903 31, al brazo regulable en altura y lateralmente, modelo 29003NN o 29003NNL, debe reemplazarse la placa adaptadora del brazo soporte.
