Uso previsto

Suction/irrigation pumps and their accessories are used for the introduction of irrigation fluids into organs and operating fields as well as the suctioning off of irrigation and bodily fluids, secretions and tissue during endoscopic interventions. Use of the unit in fields other than those indicated above is not allowed for safety reasons.

Carefully unpack the DUOMAT® and remove the unit and its accessories from their packaging. Check for missing items and evidence of shipping damage. File any complaints with the manufacturer or supplier immediately. If possible, retain the original packing materials for later use; these can come in handy if the unit has to be transported.

CAUTION: To prevent contamination of the unit by penetrating suction fluids, a hydrophobic protection filter must be inserted between the suction bottle and the unit. Monitor the level of fluid in the suction bottles. Join connecting piece  of the suction-line bottle to the instrument’s suction connection by means of the second silicone tube.

ADVERTENCIA: A fin de evitar impurezas en el aparato como consecuencia de la infiltración de líquidos succionados, debe colocarse un filtro protector hidrófobo entre la botella de succión y el aparato. Controle el nivel de líquido en las botellas de succión. Using a syringe, rinse out the tubing under neath the (water) surface. Repeat the procedure as many times as necessary. Remove soiling with disinfected brushes/sponges, soft, low-lint disposable cloths or a cotton applicator. Cleaning accessories are available from KARL|STORZ (see catalog). 3. After cleaning, rinse the tubing and place it in a suitable container with disinfectant solution, making sure that all air bubbles have been expelled. Ensure that the tubing is completely covered in the solution for the duration of exposure. 4. Cleaning brushes must be cleaned and disinfected immediately.

La botella de succión y la tapa de cierre pueden esterilizarse por vapor mediante el procedimiento de prevacío fraccionado a una temperatura de 134 °C (± 3 °C), durante 5 minutos. NOTA: Para una esterilización más eƂcaz de la botella de succión, esterilícela desmontada. Recomendamos esterilizar la botella de succión por separado, es decir, envuelta en Ƃeltro o papel para productos estériles y separada de los demás productos médicos a esterilizar.

WARNUNG: Schlauchsets dürfen nur mit dem fraktionierten Vorvakuumverfahren sterilisiert werden. Die Behälter sind so in den Sterilisator zu stellen, dass eine ausreichende Dampfzirkulation und -durchdringung gegeben ist, sowie die Luft entweichen und das Kondensat abfließen kann. Den Sterilisator entsprechend dessen Gebrauchsanweisung beladen. Nach Beendigung der Dampfsterilisation müssen die sterilisierten Teile langsam abkühlen.

Das fraktionierte Vorvakuumverfahren besteht aus vier Phasen. • Konditionierphase In der Konditionierphase wird in der Sterilisierkammer bis zu viermal ein Vakuum erzeugt. Anschließend wird Dampf eingeblasen. • Sterilisierphase Die Sterilisation findet bei einer Temperatur von 134|°C (+3|°C), einem Druck (absolut) von 300|kpa (3|bar) über eine Dauer von 5|Minuten (Mindestzeit) statt. • Evakuierungsphase Der Dampf wird abgelassen. • Trocknungsphase Die Trocknung findet unter Anlegen eines erneuten Vakuums über eine Dauer von ca.|5-8|Minuten statt.

The fractionated prevacuum procedure consists of four phases. • Conditioning phase The conditioning phase removes air from the chamber by pulling a vacuum up to four times. Steam is then blown in. • Sterilization phase Sterilization takes place at a temperature of 134|°C (+3|°C) and a pressure (absolute) of 300|kpa (3|bar) over a period of 5|minutes (minimum time). • Evacuation phase The steam is released. • Drying phase Drying takes place under renewed application of a vacuum over a period of approx. 5-8|minutes.

Sterilisierte Saugflaschen und Verschlusskappen in der geeigneten Sterilgutverpackung in einem geschlossenen Schrank, geschützt vor Staub, Feuchtigkeit und Temperaturschwankungen, lagern.

Re-preparation limits

Store the suction bottles and caps in suitable sterile goods packaging in a closed cupboard to protect them from dust, moisture and temperature ƃuctuations.
