Die Einheit und die Zubehörteile sorgfältig aus der Verpackung herausnehmen. Auf fehlende Teile und Anzeichen von Versandschäden achten. Sollte die Lieferung Anlass zur Reklamation geben, so wenden Sie sich bitte umgehend an den Hersteller oder Lieferanten. Wenn möglich die Originalverpackung für spätere Verwendung aufheben; diese kann benutzt werden, wenn das Gerät transportiert werden muss.

Carefully remove the unit and the accessories from the packaging. Check for missing items and for evidence of shipping damage. File any complaints with the manufacturer or supplier immediately. If possible, retain the original packing materials for later use; these can be used if the unit has to be transported.

Extraiga cuidadosamente la unidad y sus accesorios de su embalaje. Revise si el envío está completo y compruebe posibles averías de transporte. En caso de reclamaciones, diríjase de inmediato al fabricante o al proveedor. Es recomendable guardar el embalaje original para volver a utilizarlo posteriormente en un posible transporte del equipo.

Bei Verwendung von explosiven Narkosegasen darf das System nicht in der dargestellten Gefahrenzone betrieben werden.

Fitting a label strip

Colocar la tarjeta de identificación

Hinweis: Auf dem Beschriftungsstreifen sind die jeweiligen Bedienelemente bzw. Anzeigen des Gerätes bezeichnet. Der Beschriftungsstreifen liegt dem Gerät in sechs Sprachen bei: Deutsch, Spanisch, Englisch, Französisch, Italienisch und Portugiesisch. Zutreffende Sprache auswählen. Linke vordere Seitenblende lösen.

Note: The appropriate controls/indicators on the unit are designated on the label strip.

Nota: Los respectivos elementos de mando o indicadores del aparato se encuentran designados en las tarjetas de identicación. La tarjeta de identificación se adjunta en seis idiomas: alemán, español, inglés, francés, italiano y portugués. Seleccione el idioma correspondiente. Suelte el lado izquierdo de la cubierta lateral frontal.

Gegebenenfalls vorhandenen unbeschrifteten Platzhalter entfernen. Beschriftungsstreifen zwischen Dekorfolie und Frontblech schieben. Den Streifen an der Markierungslinie knicken, damit die Seitenblende wieder ungehindert angebracht werden kann. Seitenblende wieder anbringen.

Remove any unmarked label strip. Select a label strip and slide it between the plastic and the metal front. Fold the strip along the marking line so that the side cover can be refitted without any obstruction.

Retire, si procediera, la tarjeta de identificación sin rotular existente. Deslice la tarjeta de identificación entre la lámina decorativa y la chapa frontal. Doble la tarjeta por la marca, de modo que sea posible colocar la cubierta lateral sin impedimentos.

The UNIDRIVE® ECO is equipped with a connector for attaching a ground wire. The unit‘s ground should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Vor Anschluss des UNIDRIVE® ECO an das Stromnetz überprüfen, ob die Netzspannung mit der auf dem Typenschild angegebenen Spannung übereinstimmt. Hinweis: Werksseitig ist das Gerät mit 2-AmpereSicherungen für den Betrieb an einem 230/240 Volt-Netz ausgelegt. Wenn Sie Ihr Gerät an einem 100...120 Volt-Netz betreiben, sind die werksseitig eingebauten 2-Ampere-Sicherungen durch 4-Ampere-Sicherungen (T4AH oder T4AL) auszutauschen (siehe Abschnitt »Sicherungswechsel« S. 46–47).

Before connecting the UNIDRIVE® ECO to the power supply line, verify that the line voltage stated on the unit’s identification plate conforms with that of the power supply lines to be used. Note: At the factory, 2 A fuses suitable for operation at a 230/240 V supply are inserted in the unit. If you are operating the unit at 100…120 V, the 2 Afuses inserted at the factory will need to be replaced with 4 A fuses (T4AH or T4AL) (see ‘Fuse replacement’ section on pages 46–47).

The label strips are included with the unit in six languages: German, Spanish, English, French, Italian and Portuguese. Select the appropriate language. Undo the left-hand front side cover.

Connect the power, insert the power cord end into the receptacle  of the unit. Warning: Only insert the power plug into and remove it from electrical outlets located outside areas subject to explosion hazards.

Für die Bedienung des Fußschalters  das Anschlusskabel* des Fußschalters in die Buchse für den Fußschalter an der Rückseite des UNIDRIVE® ECO stecken. Den roten Punkt am Anschlusskabel auf den roten Punkt auf der Fußschalterbuchse ausrichten. Hinweis: Ist beim Einschalten des Gerätes kein Fußschalter angeschlossen, blinkt der Fehlercode: »E11« (= kein Fußschalter) in Anzeige (siehe Pfeil).

To use the footswitch , insert the connecting cord* of the footswitch into the socket for the footswitch on the back of the UNIDRIVE® ECO. Align the red dot on the connecting cord with the red dot on the footswitch socket. Note: If no footswitch is connected when the machine is switched on, the error code: ‘E11’ (= no footswitch) ashes in display (see arrow).

Para utilizar el interruptor de pedal  enchufe el cable de conexión* del interruptor de pedal en el conector para el interruptor de pedal en la parte trasera del UNIDRIVE® ECO. Alinee el punto rojo del cable de conexión sobre el punto rojo del conector del interruptor de pedal. Nota: Si al conectar el aparato no hay ningún interruptor de pedal conectado, se enciende intermitente el mensaje: “E11” (= ningún interruptor de pedal) en el indicador  (véase echa).

Applikationsinstrument gemäß Gebrauchsanweisung vorbereiten. Hinweis: Bitte die dem Applikationsinstrument beiliegende Gebrauchsanweisung beachten! Das vom Applikationsinstrument (EC-Mikromotor bzw. Shaverhandstück) kommende Anschlusskabel* an Motorausgang M1 und/ oder M2 anschließen.

Prepare the application instrument according to the instruction manual. Note: Please read the instruction manual provided with the application instrument carefully! The connecting cable* coming from the application instrument (EC Micromotor or shaver handpiece) must be connected to motor output M1 and/ or M2.

Prepare el instrumento de aplicación según el Manual de instrucciones. Nota: Tenga en cuenta el Manual de instrucciones del instrumento de aplicación correspondiente. Conecte el cable de conexión* del instrumento de aplicación (micromotor EC o pieza manual del Shaver) en la salida de motor M1 y/o M2.

The connection will be made properly when the red dot on the connection cable is aligned with that on the socket. Note: If no ‘motor’ is connected when the machine is switched on, the error code: ‘E12/E14’ (= no motor on M1/M2) ashes in display (see arrow). * Note: To unplug the connecting cable, pull out the plug and do not pull on the cable.

Para una conexión correcta, alinee el punto rojo del cable de conexión con el conector. Nota: Si al conectar el aparato no hay ningún “motor” conectado, se enciende intermitente el mensaje: “E12/E14” = (ningún motor en M1/M2) en el campo indicador  (véase flecha). * Nota: Para desconectar el cable de la red, tire del enchufe y no del cable.

Ggf. Kühl-/Spülkanal auf Bohrhandstück/Mikrosäge aufstecken (siehe Pfeil). Das andere Ende des Silikonschlauchs auf den Spülanschluss des DrillCut-X Shaver-Handstücks, des Bohrhandstücks bzw. der Mikro-Säge aufstecken. Mit Clips aus dem Clip-Set (Art.-Nr. 20 7110 21) den Silikonschlauch am DrillCut-X/ Bohrhandstück/ Mikro-Säge und/oder am Verbindungskabel befestigen.

If necessary, attach a cooling/irrigation channel onto the drill handpiece/microsaw (see arrow). Attach the other end of the silicone tubing to the irrigation connection of the DrillCut-X shaver handpiece, the drill handpiece or the microsaw. Using clips from the clip set (Art. no. 20 7110 21), attach the silicone tubing to the DrillCut-X shaver handpiece or microsaw and/or to the connecting cable.

Si es necesario, monte el canal de refrigeración / irrigación sobre la taladradora manual/microsierra (véase flecha). El otro extremo del tubo flexible de silicona se monta en la conexión de irrigación de la pieza manual DrillCut-X del Shaver, de la taladradora manual o de la microsierra. Spülflussmenge einstellen Über die ±Tasten im Bedienfeld »PUMPE« auf der rechten Seite der Steuereinheit kann die vorgegebene Spülussmenge der Pumpe im jeweiligen Betriebsmodus von 125ml/min bis auf 6ml/min reduziert werden (Anzeige ). Die max. Pumpenleistung wird während der Einstellung der Pumpenleistung in der Anzeige angezeigt. Hinweis: Mit dem Fußschalter kann die Spülussmenge auf »0« gestellt werden. Dies entspricht der Sperrung der Pumpenfunktion; die Pumpe läuft nicht an.

Setting the flow rate The preset irrigation ow rate of the pump in the mode used can be reduced from 125 ml/min to 6ml/min by using the ± buttons  in the ‘Pump’ control panel on the right side of the control unit (display ). The maximum pump capacity is shown in display  during the setting of the pump capacity. Note: The irrigation ow rate can be set to ‘0’ using the footswitch. This incapacitates the pump function, the pump will thus not start.

Note: Pressing the left-hand footswitch pedal for a longer period of time (footswitch 20 0126 30) activates the irrigation pump alone (if it was activated previously). The pump runs backwards for a short time after deactivating to aspirate the irrigation solution. This prevents any liquid from dripping.

Ajustar la cantidad de solución de irrigación Accionando las teclas “+/–” en el campo de mando “Bomba”, en el lado derecho de la unidad de control, se puede reducir la cantidad de solución de irrigación ajustada para la bomba en cada modo de servicio de 125ml/min a 6ml/min (indicador ). La potencia máxima de la bomba aparece en el indicador durante el ajuste de dicha potencia. Nota: Es posible ajustar a “0” la cantidad de solución de irrigación con el interruptor de pedal. Esto equivale a bloquear el funcionamiento de la bomba, por lo que la misma no se pone en marcha.

Schlauchset für Einmalgebrauch (optional) (MTP Schlauchset 031131-10) Schlauch in die Schlauchhalterung einlegen. Die entsprechenden Schlauchenden mit dem Spülflüssigkeitsbeutel (Einstichdorn) verbinden bzw. auf den Spülanschluss des DrillCut-X Shaver-Handstücks, des Bohrhandstücks bzw. der Mikro-Säge aufstecken. Hinweis: Bei Verwendung einer Spülasche die Belüftungskappe am Einstichdorn öffnen um die Spülasche zu belüften.

Disposable irrigation tubing set (optional) (mtp Tubing Set 031131-10) Insert the tubing into the holder. Connect the relevant tubing ends with the irrigation bottle (puncture needle) or attach to the irrigation connector of the DrillCut-X shaver handpiece, drill handpiece or the microsaw. Note: If an irrigation bottle is used open the ventilation cap at the puncture needle in order to ventilate the bottle.

If the handpiece is activated by pressing the right-hand footswitch pedal, the pump starts automatically and supplies the preset irrigation flow quantity. The left-hand footswitch pedal only starts the pump and the irrigation liquid is supplied with the preset irrigation flow. The handpiece is not activated.

La pieza manual arranca, bomba con flujo de irrigación preajustado. d) pulsando la tecla  más de 2segundos se conmuta entre salida de motor 1 (M1) y salida de motor 2 (M2), o viceversa. e) pulsando simultáneamente ambos pedales más de 4 segundos se conmuta de modo de servicio “P1–DRILLCUT-X” a “P2–TALADRADORA PARA SENOS” o viceversa. Al cambiar a DRILLCUT-X se oye una señal sencilla, al cambiar a TALADRADORA PARA SENOS se oye una señal doble.

4.1 Applikationshandstück »SHAVER« konfigurieren und auswählen Um das ausgewählte Applikationshandstück (NNH Shaver-Handstück n. STAMMBERGER 40 7110 39) zu konfigurieren bitte folgendermaßen vorgehen: Mit der »M« Taste  den Betriebsmodus P3 auswählen. Shaver Handstück an Motorausgang M1 oder M2 anschließen. Hinweis: Programmmodus und Motorausgang werden in Anzeiged dargestellt. Die Drehzahl wird automatisch auf 3.000 U/min voreingestellt und kann bei Bedarf verändert werden. 4.1 Configuring and selecting the application handpiece ‘SHAVER’ To congure the selected application handpiece (STAMMBERGER Paranasal Sinus Shaver handpiece 40 7110 39), please proceed as follows: Select the mode P3 using the ‘M’ button. Connect Shaver handpiece to motor output M1 or M2. Note: Program mode and motor output are shown in display. The speed is automatically preset to 3,000 rpm and can be changed as required. Increasing the speed can negatively affect the service life and heating of the handpiece.

4.1 Configurar y seleccionar pieza manual de aplicación “SHAVER” Para congurar la pieza manual de aplicación seleccionada (pieza manual del Shaver para senos paranasales seg. STAMMBERGER 40 7110 39) proceda como sigue: Seleccione con la tecla “M”  el modo de servicio P3. Conecte la pieza manual del Shaver en la salida de motor M1 o M2. Nota: El modo de programa y la salida de motor aparecen en el indicador. El número de revoluciones se preajusta automáticamente a 3.000 rpm y puede modicarse si es necesario. El hecho de aumentar el número de revoluciones puede inuir negativamente sobre la vida útil y el calentamiento de la pieza manual.

5.1 Applikationshandstück »P4 MICRO SHAVER« auswählen Um das ausgewählte Applikationshandstück (Micro Shaver-Handstück 40 7110 35) zu konfigurieren bitte folgendermaßen vorgehen: Mit der »M« Taste  den Betriebsmodus P4 auswählen. Micro Shaver-Handstück an Motorausgang M1 oder M2 anschließen. Hinweis: Programmmodus und Motorausgang werden in Anzeige  dargestellt.

5.1 Selecting the ‘P4 MICRO SHAVER’ application handpiece To congure the selected application handpiece (Micro Shaver handpiece 40 711035), please proceed as follows: Select the mode P4 using the ‘M’ button . Connect Micro Shaver handpiece to motor output M1 or M2. Note: Program mode and motor output are shown in display .

5.1 Seleccionar la pieza manual de aplicación “P4 MICROSHAVER” Para congurar la pieza manual de aplicación seleccionada (Pieza manual del Shaver en miniatura 40 7110 35) proceda como sigue: Seleccione con la tecla “M”  el modo de servicio P4. Conecte la pieza manual del Shaver en miniatura en la salida de motor M1 o M2. Nota: El modo de programa y la salida de motor aparecen en el indicador.

5.2 Maximale Drehzahl (Sollwert) vorwählen Mittels der ±Tasten  kann die Maximaldrehzahl (Sollwert) vorgewählt werden (-> Anzeige). Der zur Verfügung stehende Drehzahlbereich wird auch über die Balkenanzeige dargestellt (150 – 3.000 U/min; siehe Tabelle S.18 bzw. Anzeige  für max. Motordrehzahl). Die vorgewählte Drehzahl wird mittels einer LED in der Balkenanzeige angezeigt.

5.2 Selecting the maximum speed (setpoint) The maximum speed (setpoint) can be pre-selected using the ± buttons  (-> display). The available speed range is also presented in the bargraph display (150 – 3000 rpm; see table on p. 19 or display  for max. motor speed). The preselected speed is shown via an LED in the bargraph display .

7.4 Fußschalterfunktion Im Betriebsmodus »P6 SÄGEN« verfügt der Fußschalter über folgende Funktionen: a) linkes Pedal betätigen nur Pumpe in Funktion (Spülen), Spülfluss nach voreingestelltem Wert (siehe Aktivieren Pumpe »7.3«) b) linkes Pedal kurz antippen kurzes Antippen erhöht den Spülfluss schrittweise bis zum Maximalwert, danach »beginnt« der Spülfluss wieder bei »0« (Pumpe stoppt!).

7.4 Footswitch function The footswitch has the following functions in the “P6 MICRO SAWS” operating mode: a) Press the left pedal Only the pump is activated (irrigation), flow according to preset value (see Activating the pump “7.3“) b) Short, quick actuation of the left pedal A quick press increases the irrigation flow step by step up to the maximum value and then the flow quantity begins at “0” again (pump stops!).

7.4 Funcionamiento del interruptor de pedal En el modo de servicio “P6 SIERRAS”, el interruptor de pedal dispone de las siguientes funciones: a) accionando el pedal izquierdo se pone en funcionamiento sólo la bomba (irrigación), flujo de irrigación según valor preajustado (véase Activar bomba “7.3”) b) pulsando brevemente el pedal izquierdo se aumenta el flujo de irrigación de forma progresiva hasta el valor máximo, después se“inicia” el flujo de irrigación desde “0” (¡la bomba se detiene!).

Da der UNIDRIVE® ECO über zwei Motoranschlüsse (Kanäle) verfügt, kann ein zweites Applikationshandstück angeschlossen werden. Die in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung beschriebenen Konfigurations- und Einstellmöglichkeiten gelten analog für den Anschluss M2. Beide Motoren können unabhängig voneinander konfiguriert werden. Ausnahme: Die Auswahl des Shavertyps (40 7110 35, 40 7110 39 und 40 7110 40) gilt für beide Anschlüsse.

Since the UNIDRIVE® ECO has two motor connections (channels), a second application handpiece can be connected. The congurations and settings described in this installation manual apply for both connections (M1 and M2). The two motors can be congured independently of one another. Exception: The type of shaver selected (40 7110 35, 40 7110 39 or 40 7110 40) applies to both connections.

Ya que UNIDRIVE® ECO dispone de dos conectores de motor (canales), se puede conectar una segunda pieza de mano de aplicación. Las posibilidades de configuración y ajuste descritas en este manual de instrucciones son válidas igualmente para la conexión M2. Ambos motores pueden configurarse independientemente del otro. Excepción: La selección del tipo de afeitadora (40 7110 35, 40 7110 39 y 40 7110 40) sirve para ambas conexiones.

Zum Wechseln zwischen Motorausgang 1 (M1) und Motorausgang 2 (M2) kann die entsprechende MTaste  gewählt werden, oder die Taste  auf dem Fußschalter muss länger als 2 Sek. betätigt werden.

To change between motor output 1 (M1) and motor output 2 (M2) the corresponding M button can be selected, or the button  on the footswitch must be held down for more than 2sec.
