Die in dieser Anleitung gegebenen Hinweise ­dienen lediglich der korrekten Handhabung, Reinigung und Desinfektion des POINT SETTER® und der Sterilisation des Zubehörs. Sie sind nicht zur Einführung in die Technik geeignet.

The POINT SETTER® may only be used by per­ sons with an appropriate medical qualification and who are acquainted with the requisite technique. The information given in this manual only serves to instruct in the correct handling, cleaning, and disinfection of the POINT SETTER® and the steril­ ization of the accessories. It is not intended as an introduction to the technique.

The POINT SETTER® is intended as a holding arm for optical systems (endoscopes, VITOM® incl. camera), retractors, or instruments, which can be positioned and then held in position. The POINT SETTER® consists of a holding arm and an operating table adaptor. The holding arm can be locked and released using a release switch. The holding arm can be attached on either side rail of the operating table using an operating table adaptor. The operating table adaptor can be adjusted to allow the holding arm to be at the best position for the surgeon. The holding arm has a reliable safety mechanism, which locks the arm if the power fails or gas pressure is too low.

El POINT SETTER® sirve como brazo de sujeción para sistemas ópticos (endoscopio; VITOM® incl. cámara), retractores e instrumentos que pueden posicionarse y, a continuación, mantenerse en posición. El POINT SETTER® se compone de un brazo de sujeción y un adaptador para mesa de operaciones. El brazo de sujeción se encastra y se suelta mediante un conmutador de desbloqueo. Der POINT SETTER® dient als Haltearm für opti­ sche Systeme (Endoskop, VITOM® inkl. Kamera), Retraktoren oder Instrumenten, welche positioniert und dann in Position gehalten werden können. Der POINT SETTER® besteht aus einem Haltearm und einem OP-Tischadapter. Der Haltearm lässt sich über einen Freigabeschalter arretieren und lösen. Der Haltearm kann mit dem OP-Tischadapter an beiden Seitenschienen des OP-Tisches befestigt werden. Der OP-Tischadapter lässt sich so einstellen, dass sich der Haltearm in der gewünschten Position befindet. Haltearm besitzt einen zuverlässigen Sicherheits­mechanismus, der den Haltearm bei Stromausfall oder niedrigem Gasdruck blockiert.

Warning: Risk of injury/Risk of infection: Repositioning the holding arm during the surgical procedure may be difficult and it may prove necessary to have an unsterile person to manipulate the operating table adaptor. It is thus important to test the operating range of the POINT SETTER® with equipment before commencing surgery and make any necessary changes in advance.

Positionieren des OPTischadapters

Warnung: Lebensgefahr für den Patienten durch ungewolltes Verstellen des POINT SETTER® durch zu hohes Gewicht: Das Gewicht des Haltearms verhindert eine sichere Einstellung des OP-Tischadapters. Nehmen Sie keine Einstellungen am OP-Tischadapter bei angebauten Haltearm vor. Warnung: Lebensgefahr für den Patienten durch ungewolltes Verstellen des OPTischadapters. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verzahnung an den Drehgelenken beim Schließen korrekt ineinander greift und dass alle Gelenke und Verschlüsse fest geschlossen sind.

Positioning the operating table adaptor

You can use different adjustment mechanisms (manual) to position the operating table adaptor as required for the particular surgical procedure.

Usted puede posicionar el adaptador para mesa de operaciones según las necesidades del proce­ dimiento quirúrgico previsto, aplicando al efecto (manualmente) diferentes mecanismos de ajuste. Cuidado: Peligro mortal para el paciente al desajustarse accidentalmente el POINT SETTER® debido a exceso de peso: La carga del brazo de sujeción impide ajustar de una manera segura el adaptador para mesa de operaciones. Warning: Risk of fatal injury to the patient from inadvertent movement of the POINT SETTER® as a result of excessive weight: The weight of the holding arm prohibits the safe adjustment of the operating table adaptor. When the holding arm is attached, do not attempt to adjust the operating table adaptor. Warning: Risk of fatal injury to the patient if the operating table adaptor is inadvertently moved. Ensure that the toothing on the swivel joints interlocks correctly when closing, and that all joints and locks are closed tightly.

Die Garantiezeit für den MITAKA KOHKI POINT SETTER® beträgt 1 Jahr. MITAKA KOHKI CO., LTD garantiert für Material- und Fabrikationsfehler aufzukommen. Die Garantiezeit, ab Rechnungs­datum, ist aus der entsprechenden Gebrauchs­anwei­sung zu entnehmen. Fehlerhaftes Material wird während der Garantiezeit kostenlos ersetzt, sofern keine unsachgemäße Behandlung vorliegt. Ausgeschlossen sind Verschleißteile. Zur Sicherstellung der Garantie und eines ein­ wandfreien Funktionierens des Gerätes, sind die Hinweise in der Gebrauchsanweisung zu befolgen und ausschließlich Zubehör- und Ersatzteile von MITAKA KOHKI CO., LTD einzubauen und/oder zu verwenden. The warranty period for the MITAKA KOHKI POINT SETTER® is 1 year. MITAKA KOHKI CO., LTD. guarantees the product against material and manufacturing defects. The warranty period, from the date of invoice, can be found in the respec­ tive instruction manual. Faulty material will be replaced free of charge during the warranty period provided that it has not been subject to improper use. This warranty does not cover wearing parts. In order not to void the warranty and to ensure that the unit functions properly, the information in the instruction manual must be followed and only accessories and spare parts from MITAKA KOHKI CO., LTD may be installed and/or used.

El período de garantía del MITAKA KOHKI POINT SETTER® es de 1 año. MITAKA KOHKI CO., LTD garantiza que indemnizará los errores de material y fabricación. El período de garantía, a partir de la fecha de facturación, se encuentra especificado en el Manual de instrucciones res­ pectivo. Durante el período de garantía se proce­ derá a la reposición gratuita por fallas del material, en tanto no exista una utilización incorrecta. Se excluyen las piezas de desgaste. Con el fin de asegurar la garantía y un funcionamiento impeca­ ble del aparato deben cumplirse las indicaciones del Manual de instrucciones, así como montar y/o utilizar exclusivamente accesorios y piezas de repuesto de MITAKA KOHKI CO., LTD. Any such opening, repair, or modification performed during the warranty period shall void all warranty. Warranty rights which go beyond the described warranty, such as liability for consequential dam­ age etc., have not been agreed.
