If the KARL ® STORZ OR1 FUSION fails, the relevant monitor must be changed to the direct line manually. Ensure that the personnel who may be charged with switching the monitor over to the direct line know how to do this.

WARNING: If the volume of the loudspeaker or the headphones is too high, an unexpected audio signal could startle the attending physician. Check volume regulation before each procedure.

WARNING: Connecting non-compatible signal types to the connection panel in the OR can cause image interference and ® malfunctions of the KARL STORZ OR1 FUSION . Only connect permitted signal types and perform device tests before use.

Das System ist für die Bedienung im sterilen Bereich oder am Schwesternarbeitsplatz ausgelegt. Die Bedienung kann an beiden Stellen gleichwertig erfolgen.

The system is designed for operation in sterile areas or at the nurse’s working station. The operation can be performed identically at both locations.

Bevor Sie das Systems nutzen, passen Sie es an Ihren täglichen Bedarf an. Lesen Sie hierfür im Kapitel Konfiguration in der Softwarebeschreibung 96206535 nach. Es empfiehlt sich, eine Aufteilung der Rollen im Team für die Bedie­ nung des Systems festzulegen. Legen Sie beispielsweise fest, wer für die Eingabe der Patientendaten, für das Routing oder für die abschließende Datenspeicherung zuständig ist. Erfassen Sie möglichst schon vor dem Eingriff die Patientendaten und richten Sie das Routing ein.

Adapt the system to suit your daily requirements before using it. To do so, please read the Configuration section in the Software description 96206535. It is recommendable to define the distribution of the roles in the team for the operation of the system. For example, you should define who is responsible for the entry of the patient information, for the routing, and for the subsequent data storage. Whenever possible, compile the patient information prior to the intervention and set up the routing.

Adapte el sistema a las necesidades de su trabajo diario antes de utilizarlo. A este respecto, consulte el capítulo Configuración en el Manual "Descripción del software" 96206535. Es recomendable establecer en el equipo la distribución de los diferentes perfiles de usuario para el control del sistema. Der rechte Bereich bietet Ihnen einen direkten Zugang zu allgemeinen Audio-Einstellungen, zum Konfigurationsmenü, zu den Produktdaten und zur Beendigung des Systems.

The header is functionally divided into a left and right area.

Microphone and volume of the audio outputs The microphone symbol takes you to the window for controlling the volume of the output signals and offers the possibility of activating the microphone or muting it.

Volume of the loudspeakers The loudspeaker symbol takes you to the window for controlling the volume of the room loudspeakers and offers you the possibility of increasing the volume, reducing it, and muting the loudspeakers. NOTE: If the application is muted, the room speakers are shut down. The user will not hear the ringing of the incoming call. In such cases an incoming phone call is only visually indicated on the navigation bar of the touchscreen.

In the Patient module you compile the outline data concerning an operative intervention. The documentation covers the patient data, the composition of the surgical team, the type of intervention, and the instruments used. You can limit or expand the scope of the documentation; it 11 NOTE: has to be configured in cooperation with the KARL STORZ technicians during the installation and commissioning.

The system requests complete information from you during 11 NOTE: data storage at the very latest. The system does not allow you to save incomplete data. For this reason, you should compile the outline data prior to the operative intervention whenever possible.
