Unpacking the equipment

Carefully remove the device and accessories from the packaging. Check for missing items and evidence of damage during shipment. Please file any complaints with the manufacturer or supplier immediately. If possible, retain the original packing materials for later use; these may be useful if the unit has to be transported.

HINWEIS: Der angeschlossene Monitor muss die Auflösung von 1920 x 1080 Pixel unterstützen. HINWEIS: Der angeschlossene Monitor muss für 4K UHD die Auflösung von 3840 x 2160 Pixel unterstützen. Connect the monitor with the IMAGE1 S CONNECT ® or CONNECT II (see fig. E). Depending on the types of connectors provided on the monitor, this connection can be generated using either: • DVI-D or 3G-SDI output for IMAGE1 S CONNECT ® TC 200 The primary working screen should be connected to DVI1 for TC 200. • DisplayPort, 12G/3G-SDI or DVI-D output for IMAGE1 S CONNECT ® II TC 201 The primary working screen should be connected to DP1 for TC 201. NOTE: The connected monitor must support a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. NOTE: The connected monitor must support a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels to support 4K UHD. NOTE: A compatible 3D monitor must be connected when using a D3-LINK in conjunction with 3D video endoscopes (see chapter 11.11).

Before connecting the devices to the electrical supply line, check that the values on the power sockets concur with the values on the devices’ identification plates. 1. The printer settings are displayed here. The number of images per page and the number of copies can be modified in the menu.

Adaptive Zoom: that function can be selected if a IMAGE1 S CONNECT ® II TC 201 and a 4U-LINK are used in combination. When applying a white balance, the system will detect the size of the endoscopic image, applying an individually and optimal zoom factor. Small scopes will be zoomed to fit into the vertical borders of the display. Scopes exceeding the vertical borders are zoomed to full screen with minimal loss of peripheral information. NOTE: Perform a white balance before every use. NOTE: If the endoscope must be exchanged during surgery, perform white balance for proper detection of the endoscopic image size.

Die Außenflächen des Medizinproduktes mit einem desinfektionsmittelbefeuchteten Einmaltuch oder mit einem gebrauchsfertigen getränkten Desinfektionstuch wischend reinigen. Alkoholbasierte Mittel sind aufgrund proteinfixierender Wirkung und möglicher Materialunverträglichkeiten nicht zu verwenden. Die Angaben des Chemikalienherstellers bezüglich Materialverträglichkeit sind zu beachten. Am Ende der Einwirkzeit des Desinfektionsmittels, nach Herstellerangaben, ist die Oberfläche mit einem trockenen flusenarmen Tuch nachzuwischen.

Wipe-clean the exterior surfaces of the medical device with a disposable cloth moistened with disinfectant or a ready-to-use soaked disinfectant cloth. Due to their protein-fixating effect and possible material incompatibility, alcoholbased agents must not be used. The chemical manufacturer's specifications regarding material compatibility must be observed. At the end of the necessary exposure time for the disinfectant as specified by the manufacturer, wipe the surface with a dry low lint cloth.

Warranty

The guarantees provided can be found in the Standard Conditions of Business of KARL STORZ. The medical device must always be sent to your local subsidiary (see ‘Subsidiaries’ section), even during the warranty period. Opening the equipment or performance of any repairs or modifications to the equipment by unauthorized persons shall relieve us of any liability for its performance. Any such opening, repair, or modification performed during the warranty period shall void all warranty.
