Hinweise zur endoskopischen Technik entnehmen Sie bitte der entsprechenden medizinischen Fachliteratur. Für Ihr Video-Urethro-Cystoskop PDD geeignetes Zubehör, z.B. Biopsiezangen, finden Sie im KARL STORZ Urologie-Katalog oder Auszügen aus dem Urologie-Katalog.

The following instructions outline the correct operation of the Video Urethro-Cystoscope PDD and the corresponding accessories. This is not an introduction to the techniques of cystoscopy. Instructions on endoscopic technique can be found in the relevant medical literature. Suitable accessories for your Video Urethro-Cystoscope PDD, such as biopsy forceps, can be found in the KARL STORZ Urology catalog or extracts from this catalog.

Den Griff des Video-Urethro-Cystoskops PDD entsprechend dem Bild in die linke oder rechte Hand nehmen. Mit einem solchen Kontrollgriff kann das Video-Urethro-Cystoskop PDD mit einer Hand bedient werden. Der Daumen kann den Abwinkelungshebel steuern, während der Zeigefinger und/oder der Ringfinger die Funktionstaste bedienen kann.

Grip the handle of the Video Urethro-Cystoscope PDD in your left or right hand, as shown in the picture. With this kind of control grip, the Video Urethro-Cystoscope PDD can be operated with one hand. You can control the deflection lever with your thumb, while your index finger and/or ring finger operates the function button.

1. Install the light source on a firm, level surface. 2. Plug the power cord into the specified power socket. 3. Plug the supply connector into the light source.

Bei korrekt installiertem Video-Urethro-Cystoskop PDD und angeschlossener Absaugeinheit (siehe Seite 18) das distale Ende in einen Wasserbehälter eintauchen.

When the Video Urethro-Cystoscope PDD has been installed correctly and the suction unit has been connected (see page 18), immerse the distal end in a container filled with water.

Vorsicht: Zubehör wie Zangen, die geknickt oder verbogen sind, können nicht mehr ordnungsgemäß funktionieren, sind schwer durch den Kanal hindurchzuführen und können diesen schwer beschädigen. Sie müssen deshalb ausgewechselt werden! Instrumentenkanal durch Einführen des geeigneten Instrumentes (max. Durchmesser der Instrumente 1,7 mm) prüfen.

Caution: It must be possible to move the forceps easily, and without any hindrance, through the entire channel. Caution: Accessories, such as forceps, which are bent or twisted may no longer function properly, are difficult to pass through the channel, and may cause serious damage to the channel. They must therefore be replaced!

Check the instrument channel by introducing the appropriate instrument (max. diameter of instruments: 1.7 mm).

Advertencia: Las pinzas han de poder guiarse suavemente, sin obstáculos, a lo largo de todo el canal. Gehäuse, Schaft und Versorgungsschlauch sorgfältig mit einem flusenarmen und vorzugsweise mit Enzymreiniger befeuchtetem Einwegtuch abwischen. Es sollten keine alkoholischen Konzentrate zur Wischdesin­fektion des Schaftes verwendet werden. Stoßende und ziehende Bewegungen vermeiden, um den Schaft nicht zu beschädigen.

Wipe the housing, sheath and supply tube thoroughly with a lint-free disposable cloth, preferably moistened with an enzymatic cleaner. Do not use alcohol for wipe-down disinfection of the sheath­. Do not use pushing and pulling movements, to avoid damaging the sheath.

Limpie minuciosamente la carcasa, la vaina y el tubo flexible de alimentación con un paño desechable sin pelusas y embebido preferentemente con un limpiador enzimático. No utilice alcohol para la desinfección por frotado de la vaina. Evite movimientos bruscos y tirones para no deteriorar la vaina.

Put on the cap for the video cable connector and screw tight. Ensure that the cap is screwed on properly and tightly.

Coloque la caperuza de cierre para la conexión del cable de vídeo y enrósquela firmemente. Preste atención a que la caperuza de cierre esté correcta y firmemente enroscada.

Einen Dichtigkeitstest durchführen, unabhängig davon, ob eine manuelle oder maschinelle Aufbereitung erfolgt. Dichtigkeitstest bestanden: Weiter fortfahren Dichtigkeitstest nicht eindeutig: Dichtigkeits­ tester halten und das Video-Urethro-Cystoskop bis zum Knickschutz eintauchen. Luftblasencheck: Keine Luftblasenbildung ist ein Indiz für Dichtigkeit. Dichtigkeitstest nicht bestanden: Wisch­ desinfektion durchführen, Karte ausfüllen und Video-Urethro-Cystoskop zurück zum Hersteller schicken. Es ist darauf zu achten, dass bei jedem weiteren Schritt das Video-Urethro-Cystoskop vollständig entlüftet und das Manometer vom Anschluss für den Dichtigkeitstester entfernt wird.

Das STERIS® SYSTEM 1 ist ein Sterilisations­ verfahren für eintauchbare chirurgische und diagnostische Geräte. Beim STERIS® SYSTEM 1 handelt es sich um einen chemischen Nieder­ temperaturprozess (vorwiegend mit gepufferter Peressig­säure) zur schnellen Zerstörung von Mikroorga­nismen auf der Oberfläche von chirurgischen Instrumenten und Geräten. Die Gebrauchs­anweisung enthält Anweisungen zur sicheren Handhabung des Sterilisationsmittels.

The STERIS® SYSTEM 1 is a sterile processing method for immersible surgical and diagnostic devices. The STERIS® SYSTEM 1 utilizes a liquid chemical process (primarily buffered peracetic acid) for the rapid, low temperature destruction of microorganisms on the surfaces of surgical instruments and devices. Please consult the operator’s manual for safe handling instructions for the sterilant.
