Endoscope Reprocessor

DAILY START UP TASK

RATIONALE/ACTION

1. Verify machine is on.

The ADVANTAGE PLUS™ Endoscope Reprocessor should not be unplugged during normal use.

2. Open water shut-off valve to the incoming water line.

To provide incoming water flow. Incoming water pressure should be at least 40 psi, when water is flowing.

3. Ensure LIO (Logic Input / Output) program is running.

If not, open AdvUtility, single click Start Lio.

4. Check all O-rings on connector manifolds are present and undamaged.

Replace any missing O-rings if damaged.

5. Inspect connector blocks for wear and tear.

Inspection of connectors and tubing for wear and tear will help to prevent alarms and ensure optimal fluid flow through tubing.

DAILY SHUTDOWN TASK

RATIONALE/ACTION

1. Close water shut-off valve, except when waterline disinfection is being run.

Close water shut-off valve to protect facility and filter housings.

2. Wipe down basins and lids.

Use surface disinfectant; do not use scouring agents.

3. Keep lids open and install Machine Disinfection blocks.

To assist in drying the basins and prevent debris from entering the connection openings.

WEEKLY TASK

RATIONALE/ACTION

1. Lubricate O-rings with silicone oil

Lubricate channel manifold and hookup O-rings for use and longevity.

2. Reboot computer. Open AdvUtility, single click PC Restart.

To maintain the health of the computer.

3. Run Waterline Disinfection.

In order to ensure the required water quality standards are met.

MONTHLY TASK

RATIONALE/ACTION

1. Replace basin drain filter.

Remove basin drain screen and filter with hook. Insert new basin drain filter and reattach basin drain screen.

2. Clean reusable spray arm filter.

Unscrew spray arm cap while unit is idle. Remove reusable filter and clean. Put filter back into cap and reattach.

SIX MONTH TASK 1. Replace 0.4 micron, 1 micron, and 0.1 micron water filter (bacteria-retentive filter) at least every 6 months.

RATIONALE/ACTION To ensure adequate water flow to the ADVANTAGE PLUS Reprocessor and prevent microorganism growth in the waterlines.

2. R  un Waterline Disinfection after replacing 0.1 micron bacteria-retentive Using machine disinfection blocks, run water line disinfect program, micron filter. to destroy any possible microorganisms introduced during filter change. 3. Replace air filters x 4 (2 on each side).

Replace air filters matching color on filter to color on connector.

4. Replace vapor management filter (if applicable).

Turn off fan. Open vapor management system lock, remove and replace vapor management filter. Turn fan back on.

ANNUAL TASK

RATIONALE/ACTION

1. Have Annual Preventive Maintenance (PM) performed by Medivators Field Service Engineer (FSE).

PMs performed by Medivators FSEs provide inspection and replacement of specified components needed for optimal system performance.
