Automated Endoscope Reprocessor Quick Start Guide Hook-up Connector Block

LOAD

1 Endoscope • Press OPEN/CLOSE LID button or press foot switch to open/close lid. • Place endoscope in basin with control head in the lower left corner. • Locate the appropriate Hook-up Connector Block.

2 Endoscope

• Engage Hook-up Connector Block with Basin Connection Manifold. • Connect tubing to endoscope by matching description on Hook-up Connector Block to correct location on endoscope. • Verify tubing is not kinked or pinched. • Connect the channel separator if applicable.

ENTER ID

3 Data and Reprocessing Program • Press the MENU button. • Using the Barcode Scanner, scan the operator’s barcode. • Select “Endoscope” from the Main Menu and press the O.K. button. Scan the barcode on the Hook-up Connector Block. • Scan the barcode on the endoscope. • Enter the patient number and scan the physician barcode (as applicable). Confirm each step by pressing O.K.

4 Reprocessing Cycle

• The lid will close and cycle will start automatically following the last scanned item.

TEST

5 Disinfectant Concentration • At the end of the cycle, when prompted, test the Minimum Recommended Concentration (MRC) with a Rapicide® PA test strip of the disinfectant sample taken from the Sample Port. • Press the START button if MRC passed or STOP if MRC failed to finish cycle.

REMOVE

6 Endoscope

• Cycle is complete when reprocessor indicates on monitor that lid may be opened. • Press the OPEN button and scan the operator’s barcode. Lid will open.
