QUICK START GUIDE CER OPTIMA™ DAILY QUALITY ASSURANCE Perform QA test prior to first use of day, to confirm system operation. • Turn on incoming water supply, power ON CER OPTIMA, and then press START to initiate QA test. Follow on-screen instructions.  4  • Press either “FULL” or “HLD/RINSE”.  5  • Press “START” to begin reprocessing cycle.  Refer to User Manual for more detailed instructions  SELECT Automatic Cycle  • Verify appropriate “WASH”, “AIR” and “ALCOHOL” settings.  • During Water Flow check, a channel connector must be attached to each basin port. If low water flow, then recheck using male Luer lock hookup for 100ml of dispensed fluid volume in 15 seconds through each port. • If QA test fails, remove CER OPTIMA from service and contact Medivators Support. • Verify disinfectant reservoir level above “4 gal” mark for CER-1 OPTIMA, and above “5 gal” mark for CER-2 OPTIMA; add disinfectant if low. • If using heated disinfectant, verify correct temperature on reservoir thermometer. Add 4°C to reservoir digital setting to ensure correct basin disinfectant temperature. • Check alcohol bottle level; replace or add if low • Check printer paper; replace if low  REPROCESSING CYCLE TEST Disinfectant Concentration  1 2  LOAD Endoscope • Upon completion of manual endoscope cleaning process, place one endoscope in basin with control-head UP over drain cover. Loop insertion tube clockwise and the umbilical counterclockwise.  • Close cover and the reprocessing cycle will now begin; confirm START light illuminates green and display indicates cycle information.  6  3  REMOVE Endoscope  • Near cycle end, audible tone sounds to scan operator’s ID (when activated). • CYCLE COMPLETED displayed, tone sounds, START illuminates red. • Auto-print generated (when activated); Press PRINT for additional copies. • Open CER OPTIMA cover, and verify all hookups are attached to endoscope and basin connectors. If any hookups are detached, then repeat cycle. If verified all connected, then disconnect and remove endoscope.  • Refer to online Hookup Guide for endoscope specific hookup identification.  ATTACH Endoscope Hookups  • Scan ID data using barcode reader for endoscope, operator, patient and physician ID (when activated). • Enter result of HLD MRC CHECK (when activated); Press ↓ (down arrow) for Yes, Press → (right arrow) for No.  • Test disinfectant Minimum Required Concentration (MRC) prior to each reprocessing cycle using manufacturer’s test strips. • Replace disinfectant if below MRC or beyond reuse life date.  START Reprocessing Cycle  • Connect appropriate hookups to endoscope and to basin connectors.  MANUAL OPERATION  • For CER-2 OPTIMA, place second endoscope in basin with control-head wheels down towards right rear of basin. Coil insertion tube counterclockwise and the umbilical clockwise.  • Press desired Manual Cycle operation; corresponding light illuminates green.  • Connect appropriate hookups to second endoscope and to basin connectors. • Verify tubing is not kinked or pinched; close and latch CER OPTIMA lid.  • Press “START” to begin operation; confirm START light illuminates green and display indicates cycle information. • Press “STOP” to end operation; START light illuminates red, display indicates CYCLE COMPLETED, and auto-print generated (if activated).
