Quick Reference Guide
Keep this manual handy for reference.
When the non-mydriatic auto fundus camera, AFC-330, is used, operate the device in accordance with this quick reference guide. If the device is not shut down with a proper procedure, device failure or corruption of data transferred to external devices such as a USB flash drive may result. For details, refer to the AFC-330 Operator’s Manual.
Startup
Shutdown
1. Before turning on power to the device, make sure that the power cord is securely connected to a grounded power outlet. ↓ 2. Turn on power to the device. The initial screen appears. Wait about 45 seconds.
↓ 3. The anterior eye observation screen is displayed.
1. Press the shutdown button
at the top left of the
anterior eye observation screen. ↓ 2. Press YES in the confirmation dialog box. In about 20 seconds, the message “Please turn off power.” appears.
↓ 3. Turn off power to the device.
Precautions Be sure to start up and shut down the device in the specific order. To turn on power to the device again, turn on the power switch at least 3 seconds after turning off the power switch. Be sure to connect or disconnect a USB flash drive with power to the device turned off or with the USB Flash Drive Settings screen displayed. In the USB Flash Drive Settings screen Connection: A USB flash drive can be connected when the USB Flash Drive Settings screen is displayed. Disconnection: In the USB Flash Drive Settings screen, select the USB flash drive to be removed, then press the eject button so that the USB flash drive disappears from the screen.
Be sure to check the USB flash drive for viruses before connecting it to the device.
Be sure to consult NIDEK or your authorized distributor when purchasing a USB flash drive to be used for the AFC-330. The driver of the USB flash drive needs to be installed in advance. Be sure to ask NIDEK or your authorized distributor for installation of the USB flash drive.

Image capture procedure The operating procedure below is explained in Normal photography mode using the auto shot without the blink detector and without auto switching to Small pupil photography mode that is the default setting. Patient list button

5. Perform alignment using the joystick so that the patient’s anterior eye is displayed on the LCD-touch screen.

6. Make the (eight) cornea-reflected spots appear.
When the auto tracking is activated, the fundus observation screen is displayed. When the auto focus is activated, the flash is automatically fired and an image is captured. The captured image is displayed in the preview screen.

7. To save the image, press the OK/Auto transfer button.
The captured image is saved in the USB flash drive, and the review screen is displayed. 䎬䎧
