Introduction Dear Surdial X Operator, As global market leader in dialysis, with over 50 years of knowledge and expertise, we are delighted to share with you an important resource as part of our Nipro Total Solution for Renal Care. When developing Surdial X, Nipro kept three goals in mind: 1. 2. 3.
create a high quality device, offer products for a wide-range of treatments, ensure ease of access and operation.
The Surdial X machine in front of you has it all! Traditional training material for a dialysis machines often comes in a format similar to heavy notetaking. We chose for an alternative solution that streamlines information, while simultaneously drawing upon the experiences of our users. Nipro already places great focus on usability and intuitive design. We aim to provide easy-to-use machines with clearly understandable, step-bystep messages on-screen. To complement our Surdial X, we proudly present this Clinical Applications Team (CAT) Reference Notebook! You will notice screenshots and instructions throughout. This is because a team of Clinical Application Specialists gathered the experiences of nurses worldwide and developed this document with a cumulative perspective of the Surdial X. We trust that this CAT Reference Notebook will help improve your understanding in your daily use. However, please keep in mind, this is NOT an Instruction Manual. You will see four simplified graphic symbols throughout: • signals an explanation → signals an action that one must fulfill in order to proceed to the next step signals additional information signals an important warning Nipro aims to ensure the full satisfaction of all persons – nurses, patients, physicians, technicians, and even cleaning personnel – from start to finish. This is our biggest pleasure and reward.
IMPORTANT NOTICE Dear Surdial X Operator, Are you in front of the Surdial X device, holding this document in-hand? Before proceeding, you must first consider the following important notice. Surdial X comes with an Instruction Manual. The Instruction Manual is the only reigning document that contains the OFFICIAL instructions and safety warnings for the Surdial X machine. To enable continuous guidance, the Surdial X Instruction Manual must be available and accessible to the user at all times. In order to operate Surdial X in a safe and accurate way, please take all necessary steps to read and follow the operating instructions, procedures, safety warnings, and cautions explained in the Instruction Manual. This binder is a Reference Notebook made by Nipro’s Clinical Applications Team (CAT). It contains screenshots and information that may improve your understanding in the daily use of Surdial X. However, we must reiterate:
This Reference Notebook DOES NOT replace the official Surdial X Instruction Manual! We want to ensure the most comprehensive understanding of the material we provide to you. Thank you for your care and attention. Sincerest regards, Your Nipro Clinical Applications Team
