Professional handpiece maintenance Correct regular handpiece maintenance extends reliability and durability For many the correct maintenance of dental handpieces remains confusing. Yet, without properly functioning handpieces, the majority of clinical dental procedures would simply not be achievable. Clean and lubricate handpieces every time after use and before sterilization 1 Preparation Remove the bur and disconnect the handpiece from the dental unit It is particularly important that the correct adaptor (NSK Care3 Plus) or spray nozzle (NSK Pana Spray Plus) is always used. This is essential to properly deliver the solution inside the handpiece. Choose the side of the chart applicable to the maintenance system you use and fix the chart to a wall in the surgery location where handpieces are maintained and sterilised. Just follow the 6 simple steps for correct handpiece maintenance. Always use NSK maintenance solutions.
