DYONICS™ POWER II Control System Quick Tips WINDOW LOCK Blade WINDOW LOCK is proprietary to Smith & Nephew, and acts to stop the position of the inner blade relative to the opening at the top of the outer blade. How: Hold WINDOW LOCK on footswitch, Oscillate button on handpiece, or WINDOW LOCK button on control screen until the desired cutting window is reached. The blade will return to this position each time it is stopped. Flush Lavage The Flush Lavage feature allows a surgeon to flush debris and re-establish a clear field of view. The unit must be connected to the DYONICS 25 Pump to operate using the dedicated communication cable. How: First, set the handpiece suction lever to Max and open the blade cutting window. Next, press the Flush Lavage button. This increases pump pressure by 20 mmHg to a maximum pressure of 150 mmHg for up to 20 seconds or until it is stopped by repressing the button. If outflow is used it will also open to 100%. Speed Shift Allows a surgeon using hand controls to shift between two pre-set speeds in Forward and Reverse modes How: Depress and hold shaver’s Forward or Reverse button for one second to alternate between two preset speeds. Use the Up and Down buttons on LCD Display to change settings. High speed may be adjusted only when control unit is in high speed mode; low speed may be adjusted only when unit is in low speed mode.
