Cleaning and disinfecting 1 Open the shipping carton and place the pump in its plastic bag under the hood. 2 Verify that the customer included a Declaration of cleaning and disinfection as required. If cleaning cannot be verified do not continue, notify customer/supervisor. 3 Remove pump from plastic and discard bag. 4 Check that exhaust port on bottom of unit is free from obstructions, dust or foreign materials. 5 Apply germicidal/antibacterial product to a cotton swab and clean the exhaust port.
6 Carefully clean all surfaces of the pump, power cord, canister holders and universal holder (if returned) with germicidal / antibacterial treated disposable wipe. Pay close attention to the handle and areas closest to the location of the canister. For stubborn or larger debris use a soft bristle brush. 7 Use a second wipe to thoroughly clean the surface. 8 Allow to remain wet for 5 minutes 9 Dry surfaces with a disposable towel or cloth. Do not immerse any part of the pump in fluid or use unnecessarily wet cloth.
