Mute key Type 9B and Type 19 The mute key cancels the audible alarm After switching the power off, pressing MUTE cancels the system’s previous settings. The default setting of ACTIVE mode 3 is invoked. Note that previous settings are retained if the duration between switch off and switch on is less 12 seconds (sometimes termed a warm start), and are lost if the duration is greater than 12 seconds (sometimes termed a cold start). 1.2.7. Modified mattress features after Jan 2012
1.4.1.
Cable management loops. Looped cable carrier welded on the non umbilical side to route the mains cable off the floor. The loops are designed so that if the cable is pulled tight because the head end is elevated, the loop easily opens. The feature is not included on either Pulsair CHOICE mattresses)
1.4.2. Dismountable buckles (prevents base tray damage when incorrectly fitted, and head end elevated) , and 4 hanging straps. Additional straps included for divan type beds.
1.4.3. Recessed CPR. The CPR plate protrudes only 5mm from the base tray.

1.4.4. Recessed CPC: The CPC connector is flush with the side of the mattress
1.4.5. Umbilical: Introduction of anti kink tubing. The other umbilical components are unchanged. 1.4.6. 45 degree tube mounts incorporated at the umbilical / mattress interface to guide the umbilical in a downwards orientation and reduce the possibility of it being crushed by the bed frame side rails.

B.A.S.E. Sequential Cushion
Standard product: 43cm (17”) square, in 2 heights, 7cm & 10cm Umbilical lengths: 200cm and 75cm The cushion can operate with a) Quattro Overlay and Plus, by making the connection on the CPC fitting at the head end of the mattress (see 1.3.4.) b) Quattro Overlay power unit directly, by using cushion adapter part number 99-01-17-116.

2. Faults and warnings Indication
Check:
Fault: Low pressure System continues to operate. Press MUTE to clear alarm
Activated when the peak pressure at the end of each cell inflation period does not exceed 50% of the set pressure.

Check CPR is not open. Unzip top cover completely Press MUTE, to allow continued operation. Observe if warning is displayed again, and note if one particular cell set (eg: 1, 5, 9, 13 …, or 2, 6, 10, 14… is not inflating
Fault: Rotor system System will not operate. If this fault occurs, unit will require opening and assessment by a qualified service engineer.
Check cells for punctures or detached tube. Replace cells as necessary Check: Electrical connections to cycle Faces of rotor and stator. No mechanical damage to cycle control valve assembly. Replace cycle control valve assembly
Fault: Pump / Triac fail (Type 9B) System will not operate. If this fault occurs, unit will require opening and assessment by a qualified service engineer. Fault: Pump Open / Pump Short (Type 19) System will not operate. If this fault occurs, unit will require opening and assessment by a qualified service engineer. Warning: Battery On board back up battery not charging
No power on switch on Either the IEC module is damaged, or on board 500MAfuses on the control PBC are blown.
