Phantom HS Shoulder Retractor System Setup Table Clamp with Post Assembly: •

The table clamp attaches to the side rail of any standard operating room table. To attach, rotate the handle of the Table Clamp w/ Post (HS-0015) counter clockwise to loosen. Attach the clamp to the surgical rail over the sterile drape by the top and bottom jaws and tighten the knob to secure the post to the rail. Position post on the opposite side of the operative shoulder near the patient’s waist.

Trident and Elbow Assembly: •

Open the yellow clamp of the Trident and slide the attachment point of the Trident over the Table Clamp w/ Post. Ensure that the red band on the trident is positioned cranially and the blue band on the on the trident is positioned caudally. (Figure One) Adjust the Trident to the desired height and close the yellow clamp to secure the Trident. Attach the Blue Elbow (HS-0060) to the blue connection point of the Trident by aligning the groove of the Blue Elbow with the pin of the Trident. Rotate the Trident throw nut to affix the elbow to the Trident and tighten with the Quick Connect Wrench (HS-0110).

Repeat step with Red Elbow (HS-0062). (Figure One)

Accessory Arm Assembly: Attach the Blue Accessory Arm (HS-0030) to the Blue Elbow by aligning the groove of the elbow with the pin of the Trident. Rotate the throw nut to affix the Accessory Arm to the Trident and tighten with the Quick Connect Wrench. (Figure Two) Repeat this step with the Red Accessory Arm (HS-0040). Attach the Yellow Accessory Arm (HS-0035) directly to the yellow connection point of the Trident. (Figure Three)

Retraction: •

The Phantom Shoulder Retractor System includes Hohmann (HS-0200, HS-0205, HS-0210) and Super Fukuda (HS-0315) retractors. Choose the desired retractor and retract by hand. When the retractor is positioned appropriately, secure into position by pulling back the quick connect mechanism of the Articulating Accessory Arm and inserting the shaft of the retractor into the opening of the Articulating Arm until fully seated. Release quick connect mechanism and tighten

the black knob of the Articulating Arm to secure retractor. Repeat this step as needed to attach retractors to each of the three Articulating Arms. Retractors may be adjusted as needed throughout the procedure. (Figure Four)

Note: If an alternative type of retractor is preferred, the Instrument Hook (HS-0215) makes standard finger hole retractors compatible with the Phantom HS Shoulder Retractor System. To use, hook the HS-0215 through the hole of the preferred retractor and attach the connector shaft to the accessory arm.
