DESCRIPTION
1.1. Ella is a multi-adjustable and versatile standing device for children and youths, that helps achieve a very specific and individual, comfortable standing position. 1.2. The product consists of a foldable base with 4 lockable castors and a center column, on which adjustable foot, leg, trunk and head supports are attached. 2. IMPORTANT
2.1. Always read instructions before use. Failure to follow instructions may impair use, impede function and more importantly may affect the user’s safety. 2.2. This user guide is for Ella, item Code: 9310, 9311, 9320, 9321, 9330, 9331, 9340. Each product has a serial number which will be found on the tube base. Please quote this number in any correspondence. 2.3. The materials and foam within Ella meet all the required current regulations. This product conforms to CE Marking Regulations, Medical Devices Directive (MMD)93/ 42 EEC. 2.4. Do not add any other accessories other than those supplied by Timoteos to this product. 2.5. Service or repair must only be carried out by a Timoteos authorised service person. Any service or repair carried out by any other person will invalidate the guarantee and Timoteos cannot accept any liability for injury or damage thus caused. 2.6. The tools required to adjust Ella are supplied by Timoteos. These adjustments are to be made by the therapist only. Store these in a safe place. Keep away from children. 2.7. Before using the Ella with electric actuator (models 9311, 9321 and 9331, 9340) for the first time please charge the batteries for 12 hours. 2.8. To charge the batteries, plug the charger into the mains and connect the charger lead into the handset. 2.9. Batteries should be charged overnight once every week to maintain optimum life. 2.10. Ensure that the product is fully assembled before use. Contact your supplier if you need advice at this stage. 2.11. It is essential that the equipment / system is cleaned regularly so as not to impede function and to remain hygienic. Use warm soapy water but not abrasive detergents. 2.12. Please ensure the Ella is set up as per instructions. 3. WARNING
3.1. Secure the child using the trunk and pelvic laterals and foot straps immediately before you make any other adjustments. 3.2. The safety advice and directions in this manual cannot cover all eventualities and unforeseen situations that may occur. It must be understood that common sense, general caution and care are factors that cannot be built into this product. These are factors which the person actually using this product must assume responsibility for. 3.3. It is imperative that children are continuously monitored whilst using this equipment. INSTRUCTION MANUAL ELLA STANDING FRAME V3.2 3.4. If there is the slightest concern regarding the supports, use or function of the product then immediately contact your supplier for advice. 3.5. When transferring user into the stander, please ensure the chest and pelvic belts along with the footrest and knee support straps are secured IMMEDIATELY. 3.6. When doing a hoist transfer, please ensure that the hoist sling in not caught on any part of the stander. 3.7. Ensure casters are always locked when the stander is stationery. 3.8. Due to the nature of the product, please be aware of the length of the skis and the surrounding in which the stander is being used. 3.9. Do not allow other individuals to use, play with, stand on, ride on or run around the stander. 3.10.
Ensure the tray is always in place when using the stander in prone.
3.11. Ensure the knee blocks and pelvis are strapped tight before angling the stander in upright position. 3.12.
Please ensure that the product is used on an indoor even surface.
3.13.
Small parts if loose will be a potential hazard for small children.
3.14. Keep products away from sources of heat such as naked flames, cigarettes, open fires, heaters, radiators etc. 3.15.
Always use all of the positioning straps provided.

5. ASSEMBLY
5.1. Setup the base by lifting the tilt mechanism up and fastening it with the two screws. IMPORTANT!! Make sure that the screws are properly tightened. 5.2. Attach the upright column on the pivot component with the suspension bolts and the safety screw on the backside of the extrusion. 5.3. The head rest vertical bar goes into the slot in the middle of the column.

7. SETUP
7.1. The height adjustment of hip and trunk supports are on the side of the column. Foot rests are adjusted individually on each side. All of these are adjusted with the 5 mm hex key.

7.2. Start with the tray in lowest possible position, this will dictate the minimum height of the trunk support. 7.3. Adjust the trunk support so that the tray top is close to the level of the lateral support bottom edge.

7.4. Adjust the foot rests to the correct height. Lift the upper trunk support, if needed. 7.5. The knee pad height is measured from the foot rest. Position the upper edge of the pad just under the patella. 7.6. Adjust the hip support so that the hip joint is approximately in the middle of the hip lateral. 7.7. The laterals can be adjusted individually in height, width and horizontal angle. 7.8. Tray holder height is adjusted with the angled wing screw in the back of the column. 7.9. The head rest height adjustment wing screw is on the right side of the column. 7.10.
There is a 1” ball adjustment behind the head rest for a free position adjustment.

The gas spring release pedal has a safety pin, which has to be unlocked before using the tilt.

Release the tilt by pressing the pedal with your foot, while holding the frame.
7.12. The knee supports have a padded strap. Thanks to the large D-loop, the straps are easy to fasten with one hand, while holding the user’s leg with the other. © Timoteos Oy 2017

8. DEROTATIONAL PELVIC SUPPORT (OPTIONAL)
8.1. The derotational pelvic support controls obliquity and rotation of the hip. 8.2. The rotation and tilt angle adjustment screws (4 pcs) are on both sides of the center column. 8.3. The height adjustment of the whole pelvic support is done with one screw in the middle of the adjustment bracket.

9. SWING-AWAY LATERALS (STANDARD ON SIZE 4, OPTION ON OTHERS)
9.1. Press the button on the hinge to release the swing mechanism. 9.2. The mechanism locks in 90° intervals.

10. SWITCH BETWEEN SUPINE AND PRONE
10.1. From Supine to prone: 10.1.1. Remove head rest from center column 10.1.2. Insert tray from other side 10.1.3. Rotate foot rests 10.2. From prone to supine: 10.2.1. Insert head rest vertical bar to center column 10.2.2. Follow 10.1.2 and 10.1.3.

12. FINAL WORDS
12.1. Do not use this product if you have not received a formal induction from your therapist. As a primary carer please ensure you are aware of your responsibility relating to the safe use of this product. 12.2. This product has been prescribed by the Therapist or practitioner who should have adjusted it to meet the child’s need. If this product has not been adjusted by the therapist please do not use it. 12.3. It is imperative that the product log form is completed at the rear of this manual on a regular basis. This form must be used to record setups, changes to the product and scheduled maintenance checks undertaken. 12.4. To validate the warranty it is important that each section of the end user manual is actioned, recorded and initialled each time the product is reviewed. 12.5.
Please ensure this manual is kept in a safe place.
12.6. CARE, MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING procedures must be followed in this manual to ensure client well being. 12.7. It is imperative as a primary carer that you understand the CORRECT USE of the product and also what is INAPPROPRIATE USE. 12.8.
Secure the child using the trunk and pelvic laterals, foot straps and knee blocks immediately.
12.9.
Always use all of the positioning straps provided.
12.10.
Please ensure that the product is used on an indoor even surface at floor level.
12.11.
It is imperative that children are continuously monitored whilst using this equipment.
