After fluorescein is injected, ensure that the patient is not suffering from an allergic reaction or shock. Fluorescein may have an allergic reaction or shock as side-effects that can, if serious enough, result in death. If there are signs of an allergic reaction or shock, stop photographic operation immediately and give appropriate first-aid treatment.
56
We suggest that you check for any side effects of fluorescein, by performing a preliminary test. Fluorescein is capable of producing lethal side-effects.
Check for side-effects of mydriatic drops. Mydriatic drops may lead to severe side-effects.

n.a.
Connect the power plug to a grounded three-pin AC
outlet. Outlets which can not be grounded can lead to a shortcircuit which, in turn can cause a fire or an electric shock.
35
Disconnect the power plug from the outlet before
removing a fuse in order to replace it. Removing the fuse cover without disconnecting the power plug, may result in an electric shock.
77
Also avoid connecting the power plug to the outlet with the fuse uncovered.

Ensure that nobody’s hands are placed between the
43
main body and the lower arm of the instrument. If the main body is tilted, your hands may get caught in between and be pinched and injured.
51 56
Ensure that nobody’s hands are placed between the
chin rest support and the lower or upper arm of the instrument. This warning is primarily aimed at the patient.
When the main body is moved, the hands may get caught in between and be pinched and injured.
43 51 56
Do not hold the head strap or chin rest support when
transporting the instrument. Such an action may lead to dropping the instrument and can cause bodily harm.
33
Do not replace the lamp immediately after it goes. The lamp unit will still be extremely hot. You may get burned if you touch it.
73
Do not replace any filters directly after the lamp is turned
off. The lamp unit will still be extremely hot. You may get burned if you touch it.
Pay close attention to the clearance between the
objective lens and the patient. If the main body is moved, the objective lens may bump against the patient’s eye or nose, inflicting a minor injury.
65
43 51 56
Ensure that the instrument is transported by two
persons, both holding the bottom of the instrument. Single-handed transportation is very dangerous, possibly causing the person carrying the instrument to hurt his back or get injured if the instrument is dropped. Holding a part of the instrument other than the bottom, your hands may get caught (and pinched) which could result in the instrument being dropped.

Do not install the instrument on a slope or on an uneven
33
surface. The instrument may become unstable, topple over and harm people nearby.
67 73
Prior to transportation of the instrument, suppress the
possible camera motions by turning the base fixing lever and the swing arm locking lever. Transportation without setting and tightening these levers may unbalance the instrument, thereby resulting in it being dropped.
33
Prior to transportation of the instrument, suppress the
vertical motions by locking the tilting unit brake lever. Transportation without setting or locking this lever may unbalance the instrument, thereby resulting in it being dropped.
33
When setting the tilting unit stopper, ensure that the
screwdriver is fully inserted into the hole in the tilting unit. If not fully inserted, the screwdriver may fall out, causing the main body to fall off which could cause an accident.
37
Ensure that the 35 mm camera is installed firmly, by
fastening the 35 mm camera body locking lever. If installed too loosely, the camera may fall off, resulting in severe damage to the unit or injure somebody.
44 82
When installing accessories, secure them firmly by
fastening the accessory locking lever. If installed too loosely, the accessories may fall off, resulting in severe damage to the accessories or injure somebody.
