Calibration Quick Reference To make sure the FloPoint Elite FloSensor is providing accurate measurements, it should be calibrated every 12 months. The entire calibration process takes approximately 15 minutes. ®
Open QuickPrint Place the Remote in the ScanPoint® Docking Station. From your desktop, open QuickPrint by double-clicking the QuickPrint icon.
Click the CALIBRATE button The Calibrate Instrument screen will open. Click the CALIBRATE button on this screen to begin configuring the Remote for the calibration procedure.
Gather components for Calibration When the Remote is configured, take it, along with a Funnel, three pouches of Calibration Fluid, Calibration Pouch Nozzle and the FloSensor to the toilet.
Set up the FloSensor Put on a pair of gloves. Install the FloSensor in the toilet bowl as you would for an exam. Place the Funnel on top of the FloSensor and push the tabs under the handles to hold the Funnel in place.
Press and release the button on the ScanPoint Remote Pick up the Remote and press and release the button once to begin the calibration process. The Remote will chirp indicating that the FloSensor is ready to measure the calibration flow (this may take up to 15 seconds).

Pour Calibration Fluid into Funnel When the remote chirps to indicate readiness, slowly pour the contents of one pouch of Calibration Fluid onto the side of the funnel closest to the front of the toilet. The flow rate should be between 10 - 20 ml/s as measured continuously by the Remote.
Press and release the button on the ScanPoint Remote When the pouch is empty, press and release the button to end the calibration. Depending on the readout on the Remote display, the calibration was either successful (go to step 8), or unsuccessful (go to step 9).

If the Calibration was successful If the calibration was successful, four arrows and a “3-3” are displayed. The Remote plays a “siren” chirp indicating that it should be returned to the ScanPoint® Docking Station to complete the calibration process. Please proceed to Step 10. Successful calibration
If Calibration was unsuccessful

If the calibration was unsuccessful, the Remote will emit an error beep. The calibration process allows for a maximum of three calibration attempts. Return to step 6 and repeat the calibration process from there. After three unsuccessful calibration attempts, please proceed to step 10.
Unsuccessful calibration
Return the FloSensor to the FloCharger and the ScanPoint Remote to the ScanPoint Docking Station When you have completed a successful calibration- or when three calibration flows have been attempted- return the FloSensor to the FloCharger and flush the toilet.

If the calibration was successful, return the Remote to the ScanPoint Docking Station. The Remote will upload the calibration data to ScanPoint. ScanPoint verifies the calibration, assigns a new calibration date to the FloSensor and reprograms the remote with exam software. This process should take a minute or so.

If the calibration was unsuccessful, return the Remote to the ScanPoint Docking Station. The Remote will upload the calibration data to ScanPoint. In ScanPoint, click “Return to Instrument Overview” in the upper right corner. From the Instrument Overview screen, click “Submit”. The Remote will be reprogrammed with the exam software and you may continue to use the FloPoint Elite Uroflow System, but the instrument is still NOT calibrated. Please contact Verathon® Customer Care (800.331.2313) to discuss and complete the calibration. If Calibration was successful, click the link to print a Certificate of Calibration. The calibration process is now complete.
