Avoidmorethanmomentarydirectskin contact. Toturninstrumentsonandoff,andvary intensityrotateswitchatbaseofinstrument head.Asintensityincreases,greenbandgets thicker.

Lamp Replacement RetinoscopeLampReplacement 1. Remove(unscrew) retinoscopehead. 2. Graspendoflampand pullout(usenailfileor similarobjectif necessary). 10
3. Insertreplacementlampbycarefully aligningpinonlampshaftwithslotin retinoscope.Pushlampinuntilfirmly seated. OtoscopeLampReplacement(21111only) 1. Remove(unscrew)otoscopehead. 2. Unscrewlampholderincounterclockwise directionandremovefromhandle. 3. Graspendoflampandpulloutofholder. 4. Insertnewlampbyreversingaboveprocess. NOTE:Iflampsurfaceistouchedorbecomes smudged,wipecleanwithasoftcloth.This willassurelongerlamplifeandhigheroutput.
OphthalmoscopeLampReplacement 1. Unscrewophthalmoscopeheadincounterclockwisedirection. 2. Graspendoflampandpullout(usenail fileorsimilarobjectifnecessary). 11
3. Insertreplacementlampbycarefully aligningpinonlampshaftwithslotin ophthalmoscopehead.Pushlampinuntil firmlyseated. NOTE: Iflampsurfaceistouchedorbecomes smudged,wipecleanwithasoftcloth.This willassurelongerlamplifeandhigheroutput.
Alignpintoslotin ophthalmoscope head TransilluminatorLampReplacement 1. Placethumbon knurledringatbaseof instrument.Unscrew transilluminatorina counterclockwise direction. 2. Graspendoflamp andpullout(usenail fileorsimilarobject ifneeded). 3. Insertreplacementlamp(No.03400).Push lampinfirmly. 12
PocketScope Handles AAPocketScopeHandles(72830) 1. ThishandleacceptsanybrandofAAbatteries. Usealkalinebatteriesforbestperformance. 2. TheAAhandlecanbeupgradedtoa convertible handle,whichallowsthehandle tobeusedwithAAbatteries,WelchAllyn rechargeablebatteriesandtheUniversal ChargerorPocketScopeDeskCharger (obsolete). Theupgradekitpartnumber72837includes therechargeablebottomcap(#72810)plus therechargeablebattery(#72600). Theupgradekitpartnumber72860or 72865includestherechargeablebottom cap,rechargeablebatteryandthe7114X UniversalChargerwithPocketscope Adapters.
