Indications for Use/Intended Use The AC-300MD AC Adaptor is designed and intended for use with Sony’s medical electrical equipment/systems.
Notes • This equipment is for medical professionals. • This equipment is intended for use in medical environments, such as clinics, examination rooms, and operating rooms.

This unit has no power switch. To disconnect the main power, unplug the power plug. When installing the unit, incorporate a readily accessible disconnect device in the fixed wiring, or connect the power plug to an easily accessible socket-outlet near the unit. Do not position the ME equipment where it is difficult to unplug the power plug. If a fault should occur during operation of the unit, operate the disconnect device to switch the power supply off, or disconnect the power plug.

Recommended separation distances between portable and mobile RF communications equipment and the AC-300MD The AC-300MD is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment in which radiated RF disturbances are controlled. This AC adaptor is designed for use with Sony LCD monitors only. This adaptor transforms AC power supplies using an isolated transformer, and converts them into DC power supplies via rectifying and smoothing. Refer to the manual for your equipment, and make sure this adaptor is compatible with it. For details on connecting and using this unit, also refer to the manual for your equipment. Notes Always verify that the unit is operating properly
before use. If the unit is suddenly taken from a cold to a warm location, or if ambient temperature suddenly rises, moisture may form on the outer surface of the unit and/or inside of the unit. The life expectancy of the AC adapter and the electrolytic capacitor is about 5 years under normal operating temperatures and normal usage (8 hours per day; 25 days per month). If usage exceeds the above normal usage frequency, the life expectancy may be reduced correspondingly.

Check the input current of the monitor you are using and use the AC adaptor under the following installation conditions: The front side of the AC adaptor here is the opposite side of the AC IN connector.
Be sure to disconnect the power cord from the monitor before performing maintenance. When solvents such as benzene or thinner; acid, alkaline or abrasive detergent; or chemical cleaning cloths are used on the AC adaptor surface, the surface finish may be damaged. Take care with respect to the following: Clean the AC adaptor surface with a 50 to 70 v/v% concentration of isopropyl alcohol or a 76.9 to 81.4 v/ v% concentration of ethanol. Stubborn stains may be removed with a soft cloth such as a cleaning cloth by lightly dampening with mild detergent solution and then cleaning using the above chemical. Do not use unnecessary force to rub the AC adaptor surface with a stained cloth. The AC adaptor surface may be scratched. Do not keep the AC adaptor surface in contact with a rubber or vinyl resin product for a long period of time. The surface finish may deteriorate or the coating may come off.
